Hi Everyone!

I am in the process of creating Breha Organa's gown from Ep3. I tried to replicate the pattern on her bodice/over skirt with fabric paint but that didn't work out the way I wanted it to. I found this brocade online that I thought would work but I am a little hesitant to buy if it absolutely won't because it is on the expensive side. Can I get some feedback on the fabric? or if you don't think it will work, if you can point me in the direction of a website where i might find something that will?

The skirt part I have finished.

Thank you for your help!!

Ah, the search for the elusive Breha fabric. Sigh...

The fabric you posted is very lovely. (And, rather pricy, as you mentioned.) It should, however, have more of an oval, or 'medallion' pattern to it. When you continue with your fabric search, you may want to add 'medallion pattern' to this.

You have a good start with this one. Continue to post your progress and fabric finds. Amadalia Leia Buns

Edit: You may want to take a look-see here.

I agree with LaVonne. Your found fabric is lovely, but I'm not sure it would be quite right for Breha. I'm also worried it's not golden enough.

Pure Silks have a big selection of jacquard silk fabrics (they list them as brocades), but a horrible way of ordering them and sorting them. You basically have to just go through the search results from one end to the other. (Ps. It can be done in three evenings if you spend a few hours each evening).
Have the direct link to any you consider even remotely useful.

This one might work, but get a swatch; the pattern does look very small compared to the movie one. http://www.puresilks.us/index.php?route=product/product&path=5&product_id=8234

If you can find something like this in gold and blue, it'd be great: http://www.puresilks.us/index.php?route=product/product&path=5&product_id=5525

I'd get a swatch of this!

Maybe? Pictures aren't great:

...

You get the picture. They do have choices and in very different price ranges, too, but looking through their catalogue takes time. These were just a few suggestions to get you started. Smile Best of luck! And do share your source if you find a great Breha fabric!
