Looking for some input on approvable color for RFT pants:
In working on my RFT, I was looking for different pants options that would not only fit my body type better, but also have a good price point. I found and ordered some Womens fit Tactical Pants from Galls, in their gray color. As I'm sure most of you know, it's hard to find the right color gray! The pants I got fit great! However, when comparing with others in my base who are building RFTs, I was told the pants are probably too dark. So I'm looking for input/opinions from others -- so I can decide if I need to order another pair, or if I should try to use these?
In looking at some of the original build/FAQ threads, it seems the pants were very light gray. However, I see that the Rothco BDU pants are often recommended, in gray. When I looked at the Rothco pants, and the ones I ordered, I found the following images:
They all seem to be very similar in color, so I ordered the ones in the middle (better sizing and price). But here are photos of the actual pants:
In seeing some other costumes out there, it seems they might fall in the acceptable color range, but I'd like to hear from others what they think. Sadly, I can't return my pants, so I'm hoping they might work!

Sorry for no one posting a response soon! These pants look good, but often the important aspect is to match your other base members that you'll be trooping with so you have a uniform look. That can be tricky with the quarantine orders going on, so checking the approved costumes in your base could be a good idea.

When I was still a trooper Judge we had a lot of issues with the grey rothcos. The color ranged between Charcoal and medium grey. We wound up getting a lot of submissions with charcoal pants which were deemed too dark.
Several years ago I found an Ebay maker that made the vest shirt and pants. The shirt and vest were meh, but the pants were the correct color.
Otherwise, Philonius makes pants to match the color and they have the correct pocket configuration.
