Hello everyone
I hope this is the right place to ask this question.
I have someone who wants to join our base with a Willrow Hood cosplay but he has a full beard. He was wondering if he could go for approval without shaving but he would go for a short, neatly trimmed beard.

Shorter, neatly trimmed beards are accepted according to the standard:

"6. Hair, mustache and sideburns:
Natural hair color need to be a similar style seen on the character, specifically, ears must be exposed, hair is a men’s cut, sideburns are long but not bushy – no mutton-chops, and mustache is thin, narrow with a slight curve down at the ends. Wigs (and fake mustaches/sideburns) are permitted, but must appear natural. It is preferred that the costumer have no beard, however, a five o’clock shadow is ok, and beards if short, neatly trimmed, and that do not detract from the overall look, may be approved.

Either the photo on the action figure package or the movie figure may be used for reference to hairstyle."

I know we have approved several Willrows with beards. Smile

Are wigs and fake mustaches optional? I was under the impression they were required, unless you naturally have something similar.

My natural hair and mustache do not match in color, would I have a better chance of approval if I shave and go with a fake stache that is closer to my natural hair color

And related question: my wife would also like to do an approved Wilrow, should she go with a dark color wig and fake stache or a fake stache that matches her normal blonde hair coloring?
