Having seen some of the pictures of the Project Luminous, I'm curious what some of your thought are on the Jedi Knights of the Round Table? Their almost Crusader-era costumes with the decoration, the crossguard hilts, and the general Arthurian aesthetic. Your thoughts?

I dig them. Mostly the fact that there is more variety and options for costuming. One of the issues I always had with the prequel Jedi was the somewhat rigid design. At the same time, writing CRLs for all these different costumes is going to be a pain.

It all depends on who is doing the standards. I can do costume dissections quite
easily, but that's different from a CRL. Then again, there's nothing actually out
yet and we won't be able to do CRLs for them until at least a comic is released.

Hello everyone

Actually the concept arts that have come out in the launch event of the Luminous project, the Costumes are incredible. For now, from the KJO, we are not going to make the Costumes Standards or approve Costumes of the High Republic until the comics and book´s covers come out in August.

As a first impression, the new Costumes are impressive Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

Yours!

On one hand I like them, on the other I'm not too fond of them, but that's mostly because I'm not big on gold. Rolling Eyes
Some of it definitely looks cool even if I prefer actual robes or cloaks over capes. (I like hoods).

One thing is for sure; I look forward to seeing more of these new designs. Ben

More than happy to wait till after August, but once the standards are written, I definitely plan on doing one of these costumes.

Personally, I love the idea of the Arthurian-based Jedi as these images show.
Definitely looking into doing one of these!!!

Speaking just for the costume aspects, I like that they show they wear Temple robes but also missions ones because once I finally had a set of screen accurate PT Jedi tunics I have to say...they are the most in the way impractical bit of clothing to do any type of combat or even sit. Your always tugging and adjusting. The idea of something more in line with Lukes ROTJ layered outfit really appeals to me and I'm hoping we see something like that.

So, I am totally jumping the gun on this, but I am starting work on a High Republic Jedi outfit, kinda aiming for the Temple robes rather than the mission ones.
I'm basing it off of many different aspects from the concept art and HOPEFULLY that will allow it to be approved when the standards come out. Either way I am doing white inner tunic and pants, gold outer tunic (sleeveless) and obi, white (maybe) tabard, and white (also maybe) cape.
That said, the concept art shows some Jedi tunics with a full, prequel style skirt. However the book covers do not. Anyone know the odds of how concept art would be weighed, in this case?
Also, does anyone know a good fabric to make a cape?

I hope it is alright that I am posting right after a previous post, but!

I assume most of you already saw this, but they put up an article on some of the new Jedi characters. It includes some of the concept art in high definition!
