Hi All!

Has anyone got recommendations of vendors who can sell Calf-length dark brown boots for men?

Thanks!

Are you looking to follow any particular character regarding the style of boots you are looking for?
Also, what size will you need?

I got mine on local craigslist/eBay. It was cheaper to try and error with used stuff than go to equestrian boutique and spend 200+ EUR on leather boots.

I am working on a Mace Windu suit. Currently working on the boots. Ironically last night I Googled Kit Fisto boots. They look quite a bit alike. Fisto's boots have a bigger cuff though.

Etsy has some amazing craftspeople - my Qui-Gon boots were very hard to find and was able to commission a set. Beautiful craftsmanship - thick leather with fantastic seamstress work and the soles / heels are extremely well done.

ETSY might be a good place to check indeed. Most SW costume and prop groups of FB could also be a good source but ensure you read reviews and check here for anyone who has purchased from some vendors.

Is there a good Jedi FB group to join as I belong to a few others and find them useful?

Thanks

I unfortunately don't know. I've been fortunate to have most of my kits made locally so apart from belts or such I haven't had to resort to most online groups. Again check the for sale forum here on the RL and you might find someone legion wise who can help and might have a better idea on what's needed to get legion approval.

Depending on your trooping plans, consider that boots need to fit.
It is not crucial only if you plan <30min of passive display.
I went to a carnival march in boots in my size, but custom made for the previous owner. 4 hours and 3km later, it was not fun anymore. And I was just marching slowly, no saber fighting/running/stairs/training grounds.

Also all new boots especially if they're made well need to be broken in, Wear them around the house, yard for hours for a few days before you wear them to an event, see if you need soles or any other type of padding for them. Pre plan prior to trooping in any footwear.
