- Front should have Princess seams from waist to shoulder, topstitched on both sides.
- Back should have a center seam and 2 princess seams from waist to shoulder, all topstitched on both sides.
- Front and back panels should have a raised hexagonal pattern
---Optional: this pattern should be achieved via a method such as silicone printing, puffpaint, etc. in the screen accurate design
- Underarm panels should be made of black neoprene or scuba material with raised black dash pattern. These panels should be attached to the front and back panels with a thick black leather-like piping, top stitching only on the underarm-side of these seams.
- The top should end a couple inches above the wearer’s natural waist with a 1” to 1.5” waistband of black leather-like material.
- The top should close via a centered lapped zipper under the wearer’s right arm.
- The front of the top should feature three equally-spaced rows of ½” black webbing that extends between the two underarm panels. Centered on these webbing pieces are metal-like bars that alternate raised silver & dark teal pieces.
- The armholes and neckline should be trimmed in the same thick black leather-like piping as the underarm panels.

Armor: All armor pieces should be painted in accurate black & dark teal, moderately-to-heavily weathered, and match reference imagery in proportions, markings, and design. Must include the following pieces:
- The shoulder bells should attach along the princess seams on the front & back, and be secured with a thin elastic cord under the wearer’s arms.
- Back plate should be centered vertically between waistband and collar and stretch horizontally to meet the underarm panel seams on both sides.
- Front plate should be centered just below neckline and stretch nearly to each shoulder bell, though these pieces should not touch.

Collar
- Collar should attach around the neckline of the top and scoop in towards the wearer’s neck; height should be nearly the full height of the wearer’s neck.
- Collar should be stiff material, such as foam, covered in a dark gray leather-like material and be bordered in the same thick black leather-like piping as the top’s neckline.
** The center back of the collar should have a vertical seam with topstitching on either side. There should be a dark teal stripe painted over this seam and extending to approx. 1/8” past the topstitching lines [unsure how to word this one] **

Hello all - I took the standard from the Google Document and formatted it for the forums (above). I've turned off editing in the Google Document so that edits are only made one place / we don't lose anything.

For every image we link to, we need to include a source. I suspect the sources for all the linked images are The Mandalorian. Could someone please confirm? I don't believe that we need episode numbers or anything like that.

I'm going to link to this in the Facebook Group, too.

All image sources were the D23 Costume Display, and show screen caps. Photos of the D23 costume were by @starwars_irl on Instagram, and I have their written permission to use.

Am I imagining this/looking at a mirror image, or are these not flipped?

I think the knife is in the left boot and the strap with greeblies are on the right boot?

Nope, you're not imagining it. Shocked I’m just REALLY bad at right and left. Ha!! You’re correct. Those should be switched.

Also, a note from the lead hairstylist on Mando: the fabric in the braid should not be optional. The fabric should match that of the pants.

And I've never even noticed it. One of these days, I'll see it, but haven't yet. To be fair, I haven't dissected much yet, but it so isn't obvious to me.

Is the text about piping for the collar regarding around the border with the shirt? I'm not convinced there's piping elsewhere on the collar. There's that seam on the back of it and it looks more layered on the other edges?

This is going to be a heck of a costume to pull off, given the intense amount of detail! Stunning, though. Smile

(commenting to follow)

Btw, Cara's top closes with a side zipper centered under the right arm. (clearly visible at S1E7 at 25:15)

Thanks kman! This is consistent with our proposed listing "The top should close via a centered lapped zipper under the wearer’s right arm." so that's encouraging!

I believe I've made the changes to the draft. I have:

- put in the image source information
- changed the right/left boot information
- moved the hair detail from Optional to Required

Please let me know if I've missed anything. Smile

Question regarding the boot greeblies attachment on the right boot:

This draft says they should be level with the third strap on the boots. I hadn’t noticed that before I made mine and just put them where they looked right. Mine are just above being level with the third boot strap. I had a moment, then looked at the source. I think they are just above said third strap.

https://www.thedentedhelmet.com/forums/media/the-mandalorian-cara-dune-d23-2019-52-jpg.10714/

Also, unsure on the 1/2” width for the chest straps. Perhaps should read proportional to wearer? Have a slight range? They look bigger than 1/2” to me, but still looking into this.

The strap on the knee pad isn't leather. It's elastic. Holy carp!
