As I understand it, as with any off-the-rack garment, they really depend on how well they fit you individually. How long they are (on you), if the sleeves are long enough for you, etc.

That said, they're 100% polyester and pill pretty easily, so how long they'll last when actually trooping is an open question, and not going to breathe as well as the better natural fabrics.

Based on this video, I'd also guess the closure hooks at the neck would need to be snipped off, but that's simple.

Ironic, but I noticed that in TPM there does seem to be some kind of hidden closure at the neck on QGJ and OWK's robes that is never seen again in later films.

The hooks and eyes used in TPM are virtually invisible, so you pretty much only know they are there, because they use them to keep the robes closed in that scene. Laughing
