Hi all,
I would like to see if becoming a Miraluka would induct me into the Wretched Hive.

As seen here? |
That has the right feel to it. The things that look like the SWTOR armor shouldn't be. |

IMO, I don't feel a repurposed black scarf pulled over the eyes is enough.
I would like to see something closer to the pic you posted as your inspiration... which are more along the lines of ceremonial eye bandages. _________________ -David

Now that I look at this picture again, I'm wondering if it is okay if the eyebrows are still visible. As I understand it, Miraluka have no eyes, just empty eyesockets and I cannot remember seeing one with eyebrows... Perhabs that could be taken into consideration with new building of masks/veils. _________________

So Amalphiea if I use bandages that could be accepted for the wretched hive?

I will answer this while Amalphiea is abroad and AFK.
Since there are no Miraluka in reality, the closest "real world" example would be something like this:
More complex then just a bandage-looking wrap around the eyes, because it is not an injury. So I would stay away from medical-looking gauze bandages.
You want to give the impression that it is an important part of their costume. Most (fabric) wraps look like they were ceremonial in their donning, carefully interwoven. Others are more ornate made from leather or a decorative veil.
We cannot tell you ahead of time what will be acceptable until we see it. And then ultimately it is the LCJs who will decide. But it should look deliberate and a justified part of the costume. _________________ Rebel Legion - Apollo Base

Very superhero looking.
To me, it doesn't capture the feel of the Miraluka. _________________ Rebel Legion - Apollo Base

So the rebel supporter's indicated that my design is too superheroesque.
so I'm going to base my desigm off this.
@bookworm yours is the same. how hard would it be to convert my sunglasses to that? _________________

And what of this?
I could add velcro to the back but would I need to cover my head? _________________

Sorry, for needing so much time, just read it today.
I did a cover for my actual glasses, that can be removed and is fastened by some hidden straps. Since the eyeslits are rather long, I'm not sure if the glasses of normal sunglass will be wide enough. I would recommend building it separately and cover the eyeslit with some black gauze or automotive darkening transparency. If you don't need glasses regulary you could even use glasses without glass (what a sentence!) and just use the frame for stability and wearing. _________________
