|
|

I’ve been trooping in wooden frame stilts (12”) and they creak like a wooden ship in a storm. I know most of the previous Chewie stilt recommendations were Skywalker stilts, but since those are discontinued what should I go with now?
Looking for recommendations at any price point. I can DIY.
Thank you in advance.

How tall are You? If you are 5’11” or 6’ you could go with Platform Boots with additional lifts. |

What exactly is a “high stepper bucket”? I have seen people make their own trash can stilts with construction foam which looks good but I want to be able to have as natural walking motion as possible. I might look like Frankenstein’s monster walking |

I am 5’11” I’ve seen platform lifts but I think I need 12” of height. What would you recommend for “additional lift”? |

Step-in Up Inc Highstepper Stilts might be a good fit for you! They're lightweight and can be cut down to 12" easily. They're quite simple to modify for comfort and support as well! _________________ "Let the Wookiee Win!"

Thank you for the recommendation. I'm trying to look for something that might be a bit more natural in gait. I came across Tru-Stride
It looks amazing, but unfortunately went bankrupt a few years back. An EBay store in Hong Kong still has some, but they are 18-24". I need around 12"
Any thoughts? |

That’s exactly what I added to mine. And they work well.
Had them custom made. I’ll post pics. |

Looking forward to the pics. I think it’s impossible to find the articulating stilts. They seemed to disappear. I guess the platform shoe would be the best for natural movement. Where could I get them custom made? |

Had to take Pics in Full Suit, but Here it is. I stand at 7ft 4in. The Boots are Demonica 7 inch Platforms, but Modified to add 6inches by my local Cobbler. Wasn’t cheap but the end result was well worth it.

Looks really good! Are they really stable? With the larger boots do they give you enough ankle support? |

You can’t see in the Pics, but at the back of the Heels I had the Cobbler flare them out for stability. Also as an extra measure use Ankle Supporters. You can Buy them at Walgreens. I suggest walking around in them for at least 30 minutes a Day. It will break them in quite well. I no longer have balancing issues. |

No Problem, it’s much more easier then you think, and kneeling for the younglings is priceless. |
