I am starting work on my Snowbunny Padme' build

I have the following bits so far
-Pattern for the bodysuit and balaclava
-stretch knit for the bodysuit and balaclava
-blaster (planning on replacing grips with wood ones)

Things I need are
-boots
-fur (probably going to get white and dye it light blue)
-gloves (yay for it being Halloween time)
-pattern for cloak
-fabric for cloak
-vinyl for belt and pouches

Also, this question just occurred to me: can the cape have a visible seam or does it have to be one piece? I was reading the CRL and couldn't find any reference if it could have a seam or not.

It sounds like you're off to a good start!

For the cape, most animate things at that time didn't have any seams at all, no matter if that is impossible for the actual design of the costume. So, a discrete seam here or there should not be a problem.

That said, I think you could do it all as one piece if your fabric is wide enough. I think other people have made this as a half-circle.

A half circle cape with no seams should definitely be doable as Jenna said! If you get fabric that is 60 inches wide, you'll have plenty there to draw it out since it's only a knee length cape.

Best of luck on this, I can't wait to see the progress!

Updates
Bodysuit is pretty much done except for the zipper

Began working on the grips of the pistol as well. I'll need to be sanding off the logos from the pistol.

I decided to go with a fleece for the cloak and satin for the lining along with the fur for the trim. The fur will need to be dyed

Boots have been ordered, but I have a feeling that I'll be done with the whole thing before they arrive

Congrats on your approval on this! It was your post on FB that prompted me to make this costume as well. Amadalia
