Alright ladies and gents, I have a fantastic build that will be documented. This started earlier this year and I gotta say, I am love with this costume of General Kenobi. Featuring the armor and robes he dawned in the Clone Wars mini series, I wanted to do a bit of a twist. The result I can't argue with.

So good! The issue I have run into is I now need a new set of armor as I have re-purposed the Kenobi armor for another CRL build for a Senate Commando.

And I got to thinking. Not to long ago, I did a clone armor build from scratch involving EVA foam. I know its' frowned upon external usage in the 501st, but here I don't know how much of an issue it will be, especially when you see how well it can be done...

So, unless it's said otherwise, my first task is going to be building an EVA foam suit for the build. Smile Very Happy In this same manner, I will also be redoing the robes and cape. First try on the sewing machine and I know I can make it better.

Lastly, I decided to go with his Ep 2 lightsaber because that just made sense.

I hope people enjoy this build and please let me know of any suggestions or details to consider.

Gorgeous work! To clarify - we don't use member photos to build CRLs in the RL. We only use images from the source material. So, if you are interested in seeing a standard for this, and have a gallery of reference images from canon, that would most helpful.

I know foam has a bad reputation, however- as long as it doesn't look like foam (i.e. all seams properly filled, sealed with plastidip or similar, primed and painted appropriately) I don't see why it shouldn't pass. As with anything in the Legions, it all depends on craftsmanship. I look forward to seeing the build!

I am a stickler for details myself. Being new to the RL, I wasn't 100% sure on the material but I will definitely do my best. Worse comes to worse, I can get a kit and use that. I'd figure I'd try this first. Thanks for the input though and the wisdom!

Great to see another micro series General Kenobi build!

I had submitted an updated Standards for the costume last year as the current one is lacking,..but the thread seems to have gone. Hopefully with a new build underway that'll get the ball rolling again!
