Comments: Bring your light sabers and stormtrooper masks and come run the third annual Ty-Fighter 5K! This family-friendly fundraising event will be held at Burke Lake Park on Sunday, September 29, to benefit the Histiocytosis Association, an organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing educational and emotional support, and funding research leading to better treatments and a cure for all histiocytic disorders. Ty is six years old and like other kids, he loves fishing, Minecraft, Legos, Star Wars, and scary things like sharks and monsters. But unlike other kids, Ty also celebrates milestones like being chemo-free for 4 years and remission or “stable with no active disease” for 5 years. He was affected by a rare disease called systemic JXG. The statistic is one in 10 million are affected. That means only 32 people in the United States are diagnosed. Finding a cure is our ultimate goal and every participant helps.

Referred by: Steven Manuel reached out to Kevin Belling and expressed an interest in trooping this event.
