Yes, those boots would work but they are very expensive. You can buy approvable boots for less money. There are couple of possible sources. I would suggest to look for Knobelbecher (German Jackboots) on ebay.de or engineer boots on Amazon.com or ebay.com. There are also other sources. My husband and I use MIL-TEC jackboots from asmc.de.
West German jackboots

Replicas of East German jackboots
https://www.asmc.com/Clothing/Footwear/Boots/Other-Boots/Boots-Leather-Jackboots-black-p.html
Ebay.de search for Knobelbecher Stiefel
https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=knobelbecher%20stiefel&LH_PrefLoc=2&_udhi=66&_trksid=p2045573.m1684.l5985
Finnish jackboots
https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/finnish-military-surplus-men039s-leather-jackboots-used?a=2055609
American engineer boots
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.A0.H0.Xengineer+boots.TRS5&_nkw=engineer+boots&_sacat=0
eBay.com search for jackboots

Jackbboots from icrowprops

I think I might get the boots from crowprops. Would those be acceptable? |

The jack boots from Crow Props should be fine, too. Gio does good work, but make sure he doesn't put zippers in the wrong place. (ideally jack boots shouldn't need zippers at all, for people who fit standard sizes.) I believe he'll also do the regular, accurate soles, rather than the inaccurate nubby soles in the photo, upon request. _________________

How do I request for the boots to be made with the correct soles and zippers? |

Contact him and ask? There should be a contact method on the website. _________________

I'm sure he knows, but they're just regular leather soles, with a regular stacked heel.

I messaged crowprops about the boots a couple of days ago, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Any other recommendations on where i could get approved boots? |

I was wondering what was the height of the German jackboots? |

For actual vintage German jackboots, the kind with the strap are just over 13":
I do own both, but I don't have a measurement photo like this for the kind without the strap... I'd guestimate they're about an inch taller, so around 14". If I think about it, I'll try to get a photo with a ruler soon. _________________

Would the boots still be acceptable for a RFT costume for the rebel legion? |
