Some tabards are faux leather, but any acceptable Jedi cloth is also acceptable for tabards.

On your Loincloth tabard, I would recommend cutting two pieces and stitching them together in a "pillowcase" pattern so you don't have that seam going all the way around the edge.

Would the white 3/4 sleeve shirt I wore in the picture with the practice obi/center tabard qualify as an inner tunic?

No. Check the standards for acceptable necklines/patterns for Inner Tunics.

the standards offer a few contradictions.

for example, the standards say 'no visible T-shirts'....
....but at the same time, "Crew Neck" IS an allowed option.
http://www.kjo.rebellegion.com/?portfolio=generic-jedi-inner-tunics

both Jocasta Nu (episode 2) and Anakin (clone wars cartoon) are wearing "crew neck" (T-shirts) as their inner tunic.

I believe "crew neck" just refers to a snug circular collar at the throat. It's the same line as a T-shirt, but it can't be a t-shirt. The closest off-the-shelf option would be a mock turtleneck like Old Ben Kenobi.

That said, I'm not aware of any scoop or plunging necklines on any canon Jedi.

I have had no idea how to make a pattern, I just found Dreycon Dell's suggestion of using a thermal shirt. I think I will try that, sounds like a neat trick.

those colors would be fine.

green (or olive drab) is a 'canon' color for generic jedi, as seen on screen in AOTC

see: "green tunic guy" (left side of the screen).

cheers.

Great Cool
In my Fliker I posted a pic of an old tablecloth, it is a cream white.
I am hoping there is enough of it for my inner tunic and any stains will be under the outter... Rolling Eyes

All robes are dark brown?

Typically but not exclusively. What did you have in mind?

For my robe I was hoping for maybe something more in the tan or camel end of brown.

The green silk I was looking at for my outer tunic sold out. Crying or Very sad
That might be just as well, I have a budget to keep. Thinking recycled fabric as much as possible.
Tablecloth to inner tunic
curtains ? to outer
Robe TBD. I am looking for things with visual interest and the right colors.

So long as it isn't too saturated a colour it should be fine. Many seen in LFL reference like Corran Horn are much brighter.
