Mission Report:
Thursday:
Arriving at 5pm I was met by Peter from the SSO and a number of eager troopers, we made our way through security and to the change space, which as it turns out was previously used by Kanye West's entourage.... good to know! The whole crew had arrived by 545 and we started getting ready for a big opening night.

We got a quick safety briefing and took some quick photos with the SSO's photographer for marketing, split up into two teams, one in the north and one in the south, and headed on our way.

I headed to the North with the Jawa, Officer and TK and we moved around as Peter seemed fit with us ending up with R2 in the lower foyer area on the purple carpet for some excellent photos; the away team made their way to the opening foyer and did more of the same.

After 45 minutes we made our way back to change space, changed back and made our way to the performance...
Epic seats from the SSO saw us all loving The Return of the Jedi.

Friday:
Like clockwork everyone arrived on time again tonight, those that were early hung out in the Green room absorbing all the good energy in the air from the other performers ready for the various shows at the Opera House.

Given the smaller numbers tonight and the dark areas we were staged in last night, we were all positioned in the front half of the Opera House but ended up all in the main foyer.

Despite both nights being sell outs, Thursday evening seemed busier overall we posed and took photos for a solid 45-50 minutes again.

Once our trooping was complete we returned to the same seats we had Thursday and got to enjoy Return of the Jedi again.

Saturday Matinee:
Not going to lie, I was anxious about today's performance(s)... with at least double the amount of costumers i was worried! thankfully everyone arrived early again and made their way to the Green Room. The super empty big change space we had was now a hub of activity but thankfully we all managed to find our own area and didn't get in the way. Sez and I headed off to what would be the smallest change space we have ever users and got ready whilst the bulk of troopers got kit up and ready to go!

At this stage I want to send a massive shout out to those that wrangled over the weekend; Brigette, Will and Genevieve did an amazing job all weekend keeping track of the time, troopers, helping us all get dressed and just looking after us; will also extend this thanks out to Tess, Lauren and Peter from the SSO who made our lives so much easier...

With a glorious day outside we all made our way onto the balcony for a series of amazing photos in front of the Opera House Sails as well as the Harbour Bridge, I can't wait to get those online * The tourists visiting the historic landmark loved seeing us and we started off early with photos with the general public; with a nice breeze from the harbour our troopers were nice and comfortable, except Chewbacca who in combination with a not 100% stable ground and breeze was getting knocked about in the wind so we made our way inside, as well as a number of the other troopers who made their way to some different positions today.

We had hundreds of photos and when I raced around to check on everyone we had solid lines of people waiting patiently for us at every point, we smashed it again. Within a blink of an eye we were ushered away to dekit and enjoy the show!

Saturday Night:
With most of us staying on we had an hour and a bit to kill, most of us hung around and ate at the Green Room catering and had good break before we did it one last time.!

We also welcomed Jeff Green for his first proper troop in his Tie Fighter, which looked amazing! Again we were all in kit and ready early so made our way out to the same spots we had found earlier in the day...

Despite a slow start Saturday night seemed even busier with big lines the entire time; when i walked off with Chewbacca we were pushing our way through the masses in the foyer, the place was pumping with excitement! Was so good to hear so many people excited to see our characters and enjoying what we do!

Peter ushered us all away and we retreated to the warm up area for the orchestra and hung around for pics with the various musicians, the stage crew and Nic the conductor; all of them loved us and we got some awesome photos with everyone.

The Orchestra got called to the stage and we went to the change room to dekit, debrief and relax; most deciding that heading home and sleeping was on the cards.

Jeff and Will stayed to watch and I am sure enjoyed the show!

Mission Status:
Success so far.... Bring on Friday's performance
Friday was a success
Saturday matinee was a success
Saturday night was a massive success

No breakages....(well none after the event at least)
No issues reported!
One trooper lost their car in the carpark, so please note which colour/number you are on....

After a day to think about it, the whole event was a huge success; browsing comments on the SSO's socials we were loved and people really enjoyed us being there; a number of people had commented to us they had looked forward to us being there which is always nice to hear

Peter, Tess and Lauren from the SSO loved everything we did and how professional we acted, they didn't need to worry about us and could let us do what we do which is credit to you all... you made it easy for every one behind the scenes so thank you. Nic the conductor was appreciative of our efforts as well and thanked us!

The photos Peter got before the matinee looked amazing and I can't wait to share them all with everyone.

As we left Peter thanked us all again and hopes we can all make it back for The Force Awakens....

thanks to everyone that trooped or wrangled and made this such a fun event.
