Hello,
I'm having the Cloud City Leia costume made for me. It will be done soon, but I'm totally stuck on how to do the hair. My hair isn't long enough, so the women who's making the costume told me to go to Sally's and get some hair. Which I did but now I'm not sure on how to go about making the bun and braids. I've youtubed and searched on google and can't seen to find anything to help my situation. Is there any tutorials out there or could any of you lovely ladies give me some tips? |

Welcome! I'm excited to see you working on this beautiful costume!
How long is your hair? It's a little bit different if you have a pixie cut vs. shoulder length hair.
This blog has several good methods: https://diythegalaxyofstarwars.wordpress.com/2017/09/16/diy-the-empire-strikes-back-bespincloud-city-leia-hair-movie-accurate/
Their main method that they talk about (in the video), could be doable if you have sort of long hair and just use extensions for the braids and wrap your hair into the bun around them.
Another way to do it, if you don't have as much hair, you could pull your hair into a little ponytail and twist into a tiny bun, then use an extension bun like this to hide your own hair and the ends of your extention braids: https://arda-wigs.com/products/hairbun-classic?_pos=3&_sid=dd9d861db&_ss=r (there are a lot of different companies that make buns like this in natural colors too).
I hope that helps! _________________

Thank you so much. I wasn't sure what to do with the with the braided hair extension. So that video was very helpful. |
