Hello,

Lets be carefull about boots height, they are not so tall, take a look theese images:
http://www.kjo.rebellegion.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/003a2-680x825.jpg

http://www.kjo.rebellegion.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/an006.jpg

http://www.kjo.rebellegion.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/an017.jpg

The main look for this character are based on the spats and straps, so I would sugest this changes:

Boots:
Image URL: http://www.kjo.rebellegion.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/001a_edited1-680x590.jpg
- Dark brown boots made of leather or leather-like material.
- Calf height Boots with knee height Spats at front (but not over the knee).
- All can be one piece, if so "Spats" simulate to be over boots shaft at the front.
- Spats have a rounded top, taller at front aproximatly 2 inches, going down at sides until meet main boot shaft.
- Spats portion is made with 5 to 6 vertical strips, wider at the top than the ankle, evenly spaced and proportional to the wearer.
- Three 1 inch wide straps: one (1) at the ankle, two (2) at the top.
- No visible laces or zippers, inside hidden zippers are permitted (Not visible from the front, side or back). Recomended a front closure hidden by spats.
- Accurate weathering is optional but highly recommended.

Here's my thoughts from a look over and comparison to references (note, i do not currently have an approved Jedi but I am a Base Membership Officer);

The hair;
To my knowledge, as of posting this, Leias and Reys can have any natural hair color and it is acceptable as long as style is met. Why is this not the same standard for male characters or for other female characters (such as Sabine & Mara Jade. I would argue Leia’s and Rey’s hair colors are as iconic to their look as anyone else’s)? I think we need to look into making hair a uniform standard across the board. If you will require costumers to wear a wig to match this, they should also have to wear a wig to match the others. All of these characters are equally important. My suggestion would be asking people to match his style, and color is strongly suggested, but all natural colors should be acceptable based on that it’s allowable for other face characters. The original CRL stated; “screen accurate hairstyle” and I don’t think we should change that.

Chest armor;
I would recommend rewording to “Backside of the center segment makes a stylized "I" shape, to match references”. Just adding the word stylized can help. Yes people should be following references but I don’t think changing the wording up a little would hurt.

Shoulder armor;
If we’re getting detailed about the back looking like an I, maybe add in that the shoulders resemble a seashell shape, being bigger on the top and smaller at the bottom. Consistency is key if we’re going to get detailed in this CRL. I’m not saying make it vague, but if we stick to a theme of comparisons, let’s continue it in areas where we only list something as “matching references”. Otherwise disregard, this is just a suggestion and not important in the grand scheme at all.

Boots;
I agree with the other poster that we don’t want to say the boots go above the knee. The reference image that was linked in the boots section also directly contradicts this. As is the issue with animation; we have to infer how these things will fit to a real person. Real kneecaps will not move and legs will not stretch to accommodate a certain pose. I think having the boots come TO the knee is more accurate, as opposed to over. Especially since we say the tunic needs to come to the top of the knee/not cover he boots earlier. Let’s find that middle ground and bring this into animated-realism. Real people don’t have the same kind of bendy rigging that animation does; we don’t stretch & squash quite the same.

Gloves;
I agree weathering should be listed as optional, only because I’m not totally sold it’s actually weathering, more that it might just be portraying a leather-like texture, such as we see the texture on the tunics. Otherwise I would argue then that the tunics are also weathered or have the same worn appearance.

apologies for the delay in responding, last week I had a bad cold (which also accounts for the issue in writing the boot height which has been fixed whoops) I took the rest of the week and weekend to recover.

With nothing else brought up, and no additional changes needing to be made, this thread will now be locked, and the standard goes to vote.
