I am working on my Hero/Battle Rey.

Currently I have the following:

My lightsaber, pants to modify and material for my tunic. My shirt, belt, bracer, boots, arm wraps are ordered.

I need to get the obi, holster and tabards.

I am excited to get this all together.

I wanted to find out if the back of the tunic should be split down the middle at the back. The CRL says that the bottom splits in to 4 panels and I wanted to be sure before continuing. I do know that currently the mock-up version is too long, it will be shortened on the final draft.

Here are some progress pictures of the tunic pattern mock-up.

Jealous you got your hands on the mood fabric!

I used the blanket technique, though, and it worked out fine.

Just wanted to share a bit of advice on the trousers. I'm not sure how much sewing experience you have, but I don't have a lot and made my life a lot easier by doing what I usually do - cheating.

A seamstress buddy complimented my technique, though, so I've been sharing when I can to help out.

You don't have to cut up the pants. A lot of the tutorials on how to make these trousers have you cut the legs and then re-sew them. That works, but you have to be perfect to have it work. My first attempt was...not.

So, what I did was to just put the pants on inside out and draw lines where the seams needed to be, then I just sewed them from the inside with a little pinch of fabric involved (except for the one below the knee, which gets sewn from the outside). No muss, no fuss. No cutting. But the seams worked out great, in about ten minutes, with no skill involved at all, really.

Just my experience in case it helps. Good luck!

Congrats on scoring the Mood fabric! You'll love it Smile
I would double check the colors in comparison to each other, especially with the pants. I can't tell if it's my computer or not but the pants seem to be a little too grey.
Great idea on the mockup, you don't want to waste that tunic fabric!
