I just finished detailing a replica of Leia's Endor Donut Helmet.
I didn't get too involved with trying to match the colors exactly since Leia's Donut looks a little different from the other rebels. I just used what I had on hand for paint and weathering. The base color being Krylon Italian Olive spray paint.
I must say that getting the look just right is not an easy task.
Using various screen grabs and other references, the look of the "damaged" areas on the screen used Donut will change depending on the angle of view. The only reason that I can think of for this would be the on set lighting and how it reflects off the helmet.
The dent on the right side was right over the glue seam so I wasn't able to dent that in as much as it looks on the screen used helmet, but I think I achieved the objective pretty well.
Here's some reference pics:

Here's another generic trooper Donut that I recently finished.
The buyer wanted the damage to look a little more severe, requesting a large dent from a rock, and a dent from
a bladed type weapon such as a sword or an axe.

Here is a Luke Endor Donut Helmet Replica that I recently finished.
It's more difficult to replicate than the Leia Donut. The lighting changes the look so much with each different angle that you look at on screen grabs.
I embellished a little with the red/yellow emblem.
From the screen grabs that I have, The Luke Donut only has red marks on it that doesn't quite resemble the proper shape of the emblem. And I couldn't see any yellow at all so I compromised some to make it look a little more like the actual emblem (shape) had been there before the damage occurred.
Reference screen grab:

Digging around and looking at things because reasons and came across this thread.
That's my Luke helmet, isn't it? _________________ It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness... For every life we touch, it matters.
