So still working on my clone wars Mace Windu and saw Voolvif Monn and just felt like starting it.

So after seeing this costume I thought I have to make it as some of my other costumes are still in production and kinda stuck on some parts. I want to stick to the animated version as close as possible.

This is my research on this costume:
Here are all the best references of the character in the animation.

Also lightsaber references

He has another lightsaber in his very short appearance later on but I won’t copy this style as it is very different from toy and his main version.

Here is his trading card image that is also on his toy figure card

Now for his toy version.

Close ups of toy saber

Toy company was lazy so it’s actually a re-sculpt of Anakin’s ep2 clone wars saber just with a green blade. So I will not be copying this version as I feel it’s not accurate to the animations hilt.

My costume build:
Fur,
So first thing was to find a good fur to use, i ended up going with a coffee brown fur, with 7cm to 9cm in fur length.

Gloves,
these werewolf gloves fit the animated and figures style perfectly and also the color was great.

With some modifications I feel it will turn out very nicely.

Mask,
For mask I searched a lot, found this one where the masks mouth can open and close and looks very close to the toys version head shape.

Issues with the mask is the nose as it’s very terrible quality so will be replaced with a silicon one I ordered from Etsy.

All the fur had to be removed. It is stitched on so must be careful to remove so you don’t rip the foam style mask. Also the ears fur is glued on so have to be even more careful to take them off or you will rip off the ear.
After taking off all the fur I made my own pattern and cut out the parts and sewed together.

Next I will glue the fur in place and then work on the eyebrows and also work on the fur body suit.

I am shocked no one has finished this costume or even started! Just many posts about wanting to make it. Means I will have to start the CRL.

I am one of the 501st Japanese Garrison GML’s and have helped in creating some CRLs for the 501st.

Main issue with this costume there are two versions, the animated and the toy.
To be an approvable costume I feel it must follow the lines of Anakin Skywalker (Clone Wars Microseries) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Clone Wars V2, General) as there is no high detailed version of the toy, Like Obi-Wan Kenobi (Clone Wars V1, General).

My ideas for the Costume standards:

REQUIRED ITEMS

1. Dark grey chest armour

2. 6 Matching dark grey armored parts around belt

3. Dark brown tunic sleeveless with matching tabards torn at bottom.

4. Brown fur chest and arms

5. Matching dark grey gauntlets with comlink on left gauntlet.

6. Brown pants torn at the base of legs.

7. Werewolf style latex gloves with brown fur on back of glove.

8. Voolvif Monn Lightsaber hilt

9. Voolvif Moon style mask with brown fur

10. digitigrade stilts with brown fur and grey paw with 4 toes with black claws

So finished the mask, the hardest part of the costume complete. Just need to do some small touch ups.

Stilts finished

Just need to add fur and claws and grey latex feet.

Using these

Will remove old fur and repaint the latex to match gloves skin tone.

Been working on the feet, filled them with expanding foam and then cut out a rectangle hole so that they could slide onto the toe.
Now just figuring out how to pad the stilts so that it looks more muscle like.

My god that's impressive. Kudo's to you for taking on such a massive task, and doing so well with it. Looking forward to seeing more.

Gauntlets go over my arm well just want to make them more round then oval shaped, so then can add some small black padding to make them look thicker not that it really needs it as fur covers a lot and in the animation it looks very thin. Still have to add details to forearm gauntlets and also adding comlink that will light up. Blue clear acrylic with black backing.

Made black pleather belt to go behind the belt armor plating. Still forming the chest/shoulder plate. Knee plates finished just need sanding and painting.

This is great work! Looking awesome so far.

This character was such a great nod to the original wolfman in Star Wars cantina scene... now removed Crying or Very sad . I was amused that a wolf like alien was seen in TFA bar scene.

Great to see this character coming to life.
