I'm wanting a new Legion approved costume to troop in this May 4th. And this has always been my favorite Leia costume. So wanted to share my progress here to document the build and get feedback and suggestions on things. I've been following other threads and the CRL very closely. As you can see, the first thing I tackled was the bodice.

I am playing around with the sleeves and pill-shaped padded patches rigjt now. The sleeves in the picture is just a test sleeve pinned in place to make sure I am getting everything the right size and length.
I'm 4'10" so a bit shorter then Carrie. So I am trying hard to make sure to still get all the proportions right while scaling everything down to fit me.

I would like to ask how would you suggest attaching the wrist comm to the quilted patch? I saw others using rare earth magnets so I was thinking of taking that route, as i would like to eventually do the Bespin escape version as well.

Hello! I can attest that the magnets work really well! It holds the wrist piece in place when I need it for Hoth and then is easily removed when necessary for Cloud City. These are the ones I used.

Your build is looking great so far! Great job!

Your progress is looking great. Smile Magnets can definitely be used to keeping things temporarily in place for many costumes, and others are doing so with great success.

Thank you for the link! I just ordered them. Today I 3D printed the wrist comm. It came out great. I will be sanding and filling in any imperfections in it while I'm waiting for the magnets to arrive.
