New pic from Vanity Fair
Gives better details on the gloves and gives some credence to an idea I had. Also it looks like the pants have some knee reinforcement. nice detail on the bandolier. |

Great pic—thanks for sharing.
I gotta say I love Poe's new look but that gun belt looks like a beast. That alone might keep me from putting this costume together. |

With the new photos and video out...these are my takeaways...
- Pouches...Great detail on the pouches. Just not sure what they are unless they are custom made. Currently, the best candidates are Soviet era pouches, but I have not yet seen any that have the closing strap secured that way. Naturally, they could have kit bashed and changed the strap from a sewn to riveted manor, but that drain hole on the underside of each pouch is not something I've seen on soviet pouches. Seems like an odd thing to "add", but who knows.
-Bag...Still can't seem to ID the bag the bandoleer attaches to, but we now have clear shots of how it connects and what manner of hardware is needed. Looks like there is some type of pocket on the outside just under the closing flap. We'll need more photos on that one.
-Gloves... I'm seeing a dark Olive Drab color and we can see a bit more of the pattern of the glove.
-Shirt... We now see that the panel on the sleeve goes up past the shoulder seam and also has a pointed end down to about mid-bicep. We now see that the front opening has no visible fasteners and goes the length of the front of the shirt.
-Pants... better idea of the color under studio lighting and we see that the knee reinforcements have an oval shape on the underside of the knee area.
Unfortunately, no shots of the boots, so nothing there. |

I believe that I have identified the Poe gloves from EPIX:TROS. The are the Black Diamond Transition belaying/rappelling gloves. They are dyed dark brown and the wrist strap is a custom modification (likely to cover the branding). You can tell by the nylon panels on the fingers and back of the hand, as well as the seam lines on the knuckles and palm evident in the Vanity Fair pics. It is interesting to note that these are the same brand gloves used for Jyn, and dyed and modified like Rey's Scavenger Petzl gloves.
Here are mine dyed and modified.

Nice find! I'll have to pick up a pair of those. You are 100% correct on this ID. _________________

Bandolier clip looks to be a strap hook from a German WW2 Gas Mask Cannister:

Great work
Mod guide would be great, we could then pin it in tutorials. _________________ RLGSC, DXO

Hi!
I think I got the pouches identified...
These are Yugoslavian National Army "Mosin Nagant" Pouches:
Shape and size (and especially the rivet and leather-band) seem to be a match.
I still think, the movie-bandolier was a custom made, for several reasons:
1. Size. Only the middle one seems to be of original size. (See next photo for comparison). The outer ones seem to be slightly smaller.
2. There are small brass-eyelets on the left-hand side of Poe's bandolier-pouches. Never seen those on the original ones.
So I guess they copied the style to make a custom item.
I already ordered some olive canvas and will try to copy the one genuine pouch I got. |

The more I look at them, I think they are custom made, but I also went with these. Mine came with stitched on leather closing straps. I took the stitching out and riveted the straps on. Followed that up with some tan fabric paint.

If you look at the pouches closely, it looks like they are of slightly different widths. Comparing the top pouch to the middle pouch, it looks like middle is about 25-30% bigger than the top and bottom. Maybe a 3 compartment pouch vs. a 2 compartment pouch?
I am gonna attempt to sew my own. So we will see how that goes! |

Being busy and not having the tools for doing some things, is it possible can I pay one of you who making it, I got the gloves few days ago. Not sure how to do the cover up. And what dye to use, that is simple for me to do,
I think the guy who did my belt for Poe is trying to figure the pieces.
And Crowsprop Gio on Facebook might end up doing the boots with right pic when they come out.
I know I be buying things when people can make them.
Looking forward to it.
And Great job everyone just wish I can have the time to figure it out but got to much things to do |

Now sure I am able to say names or web site
But I found someone who makes the round buckle on belt. I talked someone who makes belts on a website. And he said he can make it between $150 to 200. So I don’t want to get in trouble to say who and what website, pm me.
And I have a person who could possible make the boots —- but can’t make them yet not enough to work with.
The scarf is tricky.
The clothes can be a little tricky but I feel they little more easy and less stress of the belt, bandolier, boots and scarf. (I think Disney might come out with the scarf. I feel it be a fashion thing. Just a wild guess on that one) |
