I'm in the process of making an ANH costume and have encountered some problems with Han's pants.

I didn't realize the front pintuck seam is a little off until I have finished the waistband. My current options are either to remove the waistband, take out the pintuck and redo them or to move the belt loops on top of them. Any ideas or suggestions on how to proceed?

To create the pintuck in the beginning, did you just fold the leg over and stitch along the edges?

If so, I'd fold the trousers inside out, and CAREFULLY cut the stitch from inside with a sharp knife. For seam ripping/stitch removal I use an X-Acto blade.

Just go SLOW so you don't cut into the pant leg fabric.
Then refold the pintuck seam where you want it, iron it flat, then restitch.

Easy!

Is that fabric black, or just the lighting? It has to be "Dark blue or navy" per the standards. If it's just the lighting, nevermind. Smile

It's annoying, but I might just take out the pintuck and center it properly. That said, have your tried them on? It's not off a huge amount, so it might not be as obvious while wearing them as it is while looking at them laid out flat.
