Base-wide Rey Photoshoot!!!

Hello scavenger sisters!!!

I've been chatting with Chris, a droid builder of bb8, and he has wanted for the Rey's of our base to get together sometime with his bb8 for a photoshoot!!

We haven't decided on any dates/location yet but I wanted to make this post in order to get a discussion going for it!!

So I'm taking any and all suggestions for a good photographer, location, and weekend! If money is a concern I can always bring my DSLR camera and take photos, but I know I'm willing to split the cost of a photographer. Also Chris does live in the Raleigh/Durham area so it's just something to make note of when suggesting locations to shoot.

Also Chris's bb8 unit is truly spectacular and the opportunity for us to get some photos with it is amazing!!! You can see his bb8 on instagram @bb8dad!

To reiterate, this is open to literally any and all suggestions as it is informal! But it's a super cool chance for us to show off the Rey's of the Carolina's alongside bb8!!!

**I've picked the location to be at William B Umstead park, in Raleigh, specifically the crabtree creek entrance. Parking is free! There are also restrooms to change in and handicapped parking available! From visiting briefly there is some waterfront and forest we can use as different backgrounds.

I know it’s out the way but the 501st does there desert photo shoots at
Jockey’s Ridge in Nags Head.

Not a Rey, but if you're looking for places near Raleigh, I've used Jordan Lake as a stand-in for Scarif already if you need a sandy location. It should also work for Takodana if you turn the other direction because there's a lot of forest there.

I have 3 Poe costumes but need to get a photo with Chris BB8 with my flightsuit. I have one in my Poe Jakku already.

Still chatting with Chris and we're looking at Jordan Lake, Lake Johnson, and William B Umstead park! Leaning towards the last two as they offer free parking. All these locations seem to offer both water and forest backgrounds so we can get a good variety of pictures.

I live near Umstead Park. If you’d like I can scout some good locations, I’ve been all over that park numerous time in the last 45 years.

Also in terms of dates Chris and I are thinking the last weekend of May which would be ideal. But if people can’t make it then a weekend in June would work as well!

As a quick update, tentatively planning to have this shoot May 25th and/or 26th.

-I'll be able to check out both Lake Johnson and William B. Umstead Park in Raleigh this week so I'll confirm a location by Friday night!

Again we're organizing this shoot ourselves so nothing is definite! Chris and I are always open to any suggestions!!
