The trilogy is complete....I have enough information on the Hoth Rebel Soldier costume to open the new Yahoo Group for anyone interested in making the Hoth Trench costume.

http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/icestationecho/

I will be adding additional information as time marches on as I am still working on a supplier for backpack "boxes" and continue to work on the vest and backpack project.

As noted, there are other levels to the Hoth Rebel Soldier costumes...and if anyone takes on one of the other versions, please make sure to complete a tutorial as you make your way through your costume so that it can be added to this Yahoo Group. I may try to do that myself at some point.

Thanks to all of you who have lent your observations to the other thread here on the Hoth costume - the quest for knowledge. You input has been invaluable.

The last bit of business is the Hoth Costume Standards.

I posted the following at the other thread...and it would seem that since there was little discussion or reply that we may have hit on workable standards....
so I give you the proposed Hoth Rebel Soldier Costume Standards:

The above photo includes an image of both the Hangar Hoth Rebel Soldier and the Trench Hoth Rebel Soldier.

Hangar - formal
Hat
Tan quilted Vest (with "poofy" collar)
Jacket (the jacket under the vest appears to be the same as the Trench Soldier however...it does not appear to show at the bottom of the vest so it is either much shorter or is tucked inside their pants)
Pants - tan
Jackboots (black) or gaiters (tan)
Goggles
EarCom
Gloves w/wrist comm
Rank insignia

Hangar - Optional
Holster w/DH-17 - white
Scarf - tan

Trench - formal
Hat
Blaster
Jacket - natural color with tan quilted top section
Pants - tan
Gaiters - tan
Belt and buckle detail - white belt -
Holster - white
Greeblies on right front vest
Rank Badge on vest
Goggles
Gloves w/com device -
Wrist com

Trench - optional
Comm device/earpiece on hat
Hoth Rifle
Backpack
Vest (actually is the backpack carrier)
Pouch -tan
Scarf - tan

The above photo contains the Hoth Hangar Tech

Hangar Tech
- formal
Unique hat - gray
Vest - tan
Jumpsuit - gray
Jackboots - black
Gloves

Hangar Tech - Optional
Wrist Comm

There are probably things that need to be added/changed on these....I welcome a discussion on the standards.

I will probably mosey on over there. Why not? I'm in the endor one. Phyllis you've done a great job getting the information out there for all to take advantage of. It probably feels like a thankless job at times, but I just want to relay to you that all of your hard work is, inded, appreciated!

Donna.... it is funny you call Phylls a trailblazer. I am from Portland, you know? Ok, we won't talk about those trailblazers..... this is all about Phyllis!!!

Thanks so much for all the hard work in helping newbies like myself get the necessary information to look as close to movie accurate as possible!
