Hi Guys and Gals,

Adam here from Melbourne, Australia. So, I have taken the 2019 challenge and have decided to build myself a Tarfful. My inspiration is from this photo (my favourite picture):

If the owner of this amazing Tarfful has a build log - please speak up =)

Josh has been awesome and has pointed me in the right directions to help me get started. The first challenge was the Kanekalon Hair. In Australia its approximately AUD $20 - $25 per bag. So I will be clearly buying it from the USA for about USD $2.50 - $3.00 per bag, a HUGE SAVINGS ! Thats almost 4-5 Wookies worth of hair in Australia. I will be ordering my hair and utility mesh in the next few days. Should keep me out of mischief for a while.

As for my wookie build, I am approximately 180cm tall and an athletic build. So for me to build my Tarfful like the above picture, I am going to have to make some padding/muscle suit under my actual Wookie suit. Has anyone else had to do this ?

From the picture, would it be right for me to assume the wearers foot is at Tarffuls knee ? I love the size and bulk of this guy.

Anyway, if anyone has any tips, feedback or suggestions please yell out. I am going to document a detailed build log for everyone and future builders.

Hi Adam,

I don't know who the owner of this wookiee is. Only thing is, this is not Tarfful Wink Looks like it, but the blond parts in the fur and the armor are different.

I'm also building a Tarfful and I use a skater safety jacket for more muscle. But I also see people use American Football shoulder protection. Depends on your build I guess.

I'm about 1.90 m and made some lifts from scratch where I glued my shoes in. Have you looked into stilts? Maybe that's a good option for you.

Good luck with your build Smile

Hi Adam! I made parts of this suit. This is not tarfful although the colors are close. The body is closer to a merumeru than than tarfful and the head is pretty unique as well.

The person in costume, was not wearing any padding other than on the thighs to off set some leg issues. Otherwise he was that big looking. So depending on what you want to achieve, will depend on what you do under the suit.

The wearer had his stilts go mid shin. what you are seeing is a picture thats in mid stride. The way we built those stilts then, they looked awesome walking, they just were overly huge.
