Hello. I'm looking for shirts to use for the Battlefield 1 version of the Rebel Vanguard and I could use some opinions on shirt colors. The color of the shirt definitely seems to be a very light grey-blue... It's grey but there's a hint of blue in it.

That said, what do you all think of this shirt in the "ocean mist" color?
https://www.amazon.com/Van-Heusen-Poplin-Regular-Persian/dp/B07F3CYN9C/ref=sr_1_7?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1547102755&sr=1-7&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&keywords=blue-grey%2Bdress%2Bshirt&th=1&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/Van-Heusen-Poplin-Regular-Collar/dp/B07F3DLH8G/ref=sr_1_2?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1547103320&sr=1-2&nodeID=7147441011&psd=1&keywords=ocean%2Bmist%2Bmens%2Bdress%2Bshirt&th=1&psc=1

I think it's close, maybe a little dark but... close. Close enough? I'm debating... But it's the closest I've found so far.

Also, what do y'all think of these gloves?
https://www.amazon.com/Steer-Cowhide-Leather-Drivers-Gloves/dp/B000AYFSXK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1547103951&sr=8-3&keywords=red+steer+suede+drivers+gloves

Or these gloves? (Granted I don't need twelve pairs of them.)
https://www.amazon.com/Red-Steer-15170-S-Leather-Glove/dp/B01N700W13/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1547104069&sr=8-1&keywords=red+steer+15170

I'm kind of leaning toward the Red Steer 15170 but most places are selling them in sets of a dozen. I'm looking around for some place that might sell just one pair.

I've decided to go for the Red Steer gloves as I think that they look pretty much perfect, but I'm still on the fence about the shirt...

I googled more reference pictures for this version of the Vanguard. I do not see a hint of blue in most of them. I would use the grey stone shirt if I were you.

It looks like both the gloves and the shirt would work.

I don't have a lot of knowledge of this vanguard, but the blue mist color seems close, but not perfect. The gloves I think are fine, but I am not a judge either.

Some references have a grey shirt, others make it look more white, but there are still others that have a blue tint...

Ugh. It's my dark trooper armor all over again. Shocked

That's good to hear. I may still just go for a grey shirt and make life easier, but I am fond of the grey-blue... Hmm...

I agree that the blue isn't perfect, ideally it should be a little lighter, but so far it's the closest I've been able to find...

The "grey stone" color shirt also seems to be a decent possibility, and does have a blue tint to it. Still a bit dark but not too bad. Decisions, decisions...

This one also isn't too bad, but could stand to be a shade or two lighter...

This one isn't so bad, though it's a little light now...

I like the "grey stone" shirt best. At least you found some sources for your costume items. I am having difficulties sourcing items for my husband's Hasbro Vanguard Trooper. Germany is not the best country to live in when you are into Star Wars costuming. Good luck with your build.

Ah, is that the one with the pullover-style shirt that's kind of an ivory color?

Yes, it is the one with the white sweatshirt.

Alrighty, I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a couple shirts. But I can't decide which one. Which shirt do you all think is a better match for the Battlefront 1 Rebel Vanguard?

Granted neither are perfect but they're the closest I've found so far. I'm kind of leaning toward the Ocean Mist but the Grey Stone is nice, too...

I go back and forth, but I kind of like ocean mist better too.

What are your plans for the vest? Are you sewing a custom black Endor style vest with the RFT pockets? That's what has stopped my build on this.

Unfortunately this black vest is just different enough from the EA/DICE Battlefront I Bespin troopers that they wouldn't be able to be shared (in case you like reusing items for multiple costumes like I do). The Vanguard has RFT flap pockets and the Bespin is a has the regular slash pockets.

Hmm, you're right, I forgot about that. The standards for the Hasbro action figure variant allows for either the previous ANH RFT vest standards or the Rogue One RFT, it didn't dawn on me that it doesn't say the same for the Pandemic version. I'm getting a Rogue One style vest that I had planned to use with it and then just add the shoulder bells, making them removable with hidden snaps and/or Velcro. But you're right, the standards do call or a completely different type of vest. Hmm...

I wonder if the Rogue One version with the shoulder bells added would be close enough? If the RO vest is okay for the Hasbro figure version it seems like it should be for the Pandemic version as well. I'm pretty sure that the Pandemic vest is supposed to be a "regular" RFT vest as it is, I think the regular RFT models had the same sort of vest in the game as the Vanguard, if I remember right. (At 8:48 in this video is shows an RFT with essentially the same vest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seNz2tLVFgY) But it would be best to have a costume judge respond to this, I suppose... Would a Rogue One vest with shoulder bells be acceptable for the Pandemic version of the Rebel Vanguard?

I suppose if worse comes to worse I can just get a black vest and add some pockets to the front...
