I have finally found the khaki T-Shirt that I bought for another costume project. I also ordered my dark brown gloves in size S yesterday. They should arrive by the end of the week. Here are the goggles I am planning on buying. I wanted some that look more like the real Hoth goggles which the game designer used but I could not find anything like them.

The gloves and the 20mm rubberband for the goggles arrived yesterday. That was a very fast delivery.
The gloves are a very nice dark brown. It took a while to find an affordable pair in the correct color. I did a color comparison with other leather gloves. My specialist gloves are the ones at the bottom.
I ordered 20mm rubberbands in two different shades of brown. I think the dark brown will be the correct color but I won't know until I made the cap.

There was a little setback. I cannot get any plain white hooded sweatshirts with zippers in my size. I will have to sew it myself. I probably will not be able to finish it by the End of August for FARK, a large local convention, but I hope to finish it by the End of September for the Science Fiction Treffen Speyer. I hope to be able to start with the first mock-up of the cap in about 4 weeks after my university exams for this semester are over. _________________ RIAD GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019-present

I needed a break from studying for this semester's final exams, so I finished my brown rigger belt this morning. It was a little tricky. I ordered 40mm wide and 1,8mm thick brown webbing, but the movable piece of the rigger buckle kept falling out. I also thought it was not thick enough to carry all the pouches. My solution was to make a sandwich belt by using some of the brown 50mm wide and 1,4mm thick webbing that I had laying around from another project. The belt now has a two 50mm layers on the outsides and a 40mm layer on the inside. Now, it is almost as thick as the black rigger belt that I destroyed to get the buckle. I also added brown Velcro at the end similar to the black rigger belt.

I finally found a hooded jacket that will fit me. The label says that it is a size smaller than I usually need but it fits none the less. I can also get it in light grey if we decide that is the correct color for the TRS costume standard.
The colors light or royal blue are also available if I ever wish to make an EA Battlefront 1 Bespin Trooper. :-)

I needed a break from studying, so I started to make my boots dusty last weekend to cover the fact that they are coyote instead of tan. I will also make the gaiters and caves of my pants dusty when I have finished them.

I decided to make my own cylindrical pouch because the lens pouch that I bought on Etsy was too small. I analyzed some screenshots and used cheap pleather to make a prototype. The proportions look ok to me. I still have to tweak some things to make the sewing process a little bit easier before I make it out of some soft leather. I might make a new one and harden it later on when I have more experience with leather work.

I received the scope, nerf barrel adapter and the muzzle for my A-280CFE blaster as well as my wrist com and chest greeblie yesterday. The wrist com looks great. Unfortunately, the chest greedlie is too large. It is 6,5x6,5cm but should be about 5x5cm or less. I have to figure out the correct size and my acquaintance will then print a new one for me.

Where did you get the 5cm figure? _________________

I got the 5cm from the Endor Rebel Soldier how to page of studiocreations.com. They measured the rank badge with a laser at an exhibition. The measurement can be found after clicking on the Bandoliers/Greeblies link.

The or less is my estimate after measuring some screencaps. The rank badge height and length is about the width of the belt strap. The belt strap is between 4 and 5cm wide in reality depending on the manufacturer of the riggers belt.

Here is a little update. My acquaintance sent me some photos of the smaller rank badge and parts of the Nerf stock conversion kit. Currently, I am making a new cylindric pouch out of real leather. It should be finished by the end of the week. I also ordered some dark brown leather die to darken the square pouches. I hope to finish all the belt items this weekend.

For OT Endor, yeah, that makes sense. Although RL generally goes with the concept of "scaled to look in proportion to the wearer", so for larger people like myself, the 6.5cm size does not look out of proportion, while it might on a petite lady. (although didn't Carrie wear one?)
For the video games, they're clearly scaling them to proportionally size them to the models. So for people bigger then the in-game characters, it might also make sense to scale them up a bit, rather than have them look dinky and too small. _________________

I am very short (159cm) but I am also obese so I am going to paint both rank badges just in case. We will see which one looks better when everything is finished. _________________ RIAD GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019-present

I finished the cylindrical pouch yesterday evening. It is made out of very dark brown leather. I hope that the color is close enough to the dark brown leather dye that arrived this morning. I will be painting the square pouches this evening and post some photos tomorrow. Worst case scenario is that I have to make the cylindrical pouch out of a lighter color leather, which I already have, and paint it too.
