After trooping a Biker Scout for awhile and due to the fact that I’m the only imperial in the family...#1 son is a RFT, #2 son is an X-Wing Pilot, and wifey will be an Endor Leia I figured it was time to join the Alliance. It’s the perfect alter ego to my Biker Scout and Endor is one of my favorite places.
With that said here’s where I’m at so far;
Helmet/Doughnut - Droidwelder
Undershirt - long sleeve t-shirt in Sand - Jiffyshirts
Pants - Chefs Creations UK
Pouches - Vietnam era M16 ammo, pistol belt and compass from Omaha
Rucksack - Czech pack from Keepshooting. Pack greeblies are extras from my bikerscout build
Bandolier greeblies - TK560
Blaster - Hyperfirm E11
Commando Rank Badge - Etsy
Wrist Comm - 3D print
Boots - Zahal
Vest - Mountain Princess
Spats - Sewed myself
Gloves - Amazon
I plan on doing the vest only version as it tends to get somewhat toasty here in Arizona. It will be a cooler change from wearing scout armor in the heat.
The first item I could use some help with is with the bandolier configuration. I’ve gone through pics in the Star Wars Costumes book and it doesn’t show a good pic of it. I could use some help to verify what parts go where. Does anyone have a good reference pic?
Thanks for all your help and I’m sure I’ll reaching out to you all more as my build proceeds. _________________ Peter Holzemer

Bandolier greeblies from TK560:
Long sleeve t-shirts in Sand:
Czech Backpack with Biker Scout Snout Greeblie
Belt with Vietnam era pouches:
I'll be continuing to work on my build thread once more items arrive. The first two items I'll be tackling will be the pack and bandolier. _________________ Peter Holzemer

Not so much reference, but here’s how I did mine. Based on whatever ref I could find.

Looking good! Here's a shot of mine, in case you want more references.
If I recall, there's a pretty good photo of one of the bandoliers in the Star Wars Costumes: The Original Trilogy book. It's on one of the Endor troopers who is wearing a trench coat. A mannequin from a costume display, IIRC. _________________

This is really helpful thank you so much! Did you get the metallic weathering on the greeblies by dry brushing or did you layer paint?
I have a copy of the costumes book that I’ve been referencing along with the pics from the Endor bunker yahoo group. I’m glad I reviewed the magic of the myth photos as I noticed that there are greeblies that go over the shoulder. _________________ Peter Holzemer

The metallic weathering is drybrushed rub-n-buff.
Between those resources you mentioned, there's not a whole lot else out there. You should be good to go! _________________

Bandolier greeblies are complete and it's taking shape. My sewing skills are certainly getting a workout. I also completed my commlink as well and I am working on the strapping. I'm using a mix of TK560 and Schph Gochi for the front and back set. Remaining work is to drill out the mic holes on the comm box.

Work in progress on my backpack. I've removed the straps and clips from the pockets and replaced them with toggles that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. Rather than sewing them on I used a black coated wire to attach them. I also zip tied the clips in to keep them from popping loose as recommended and it works well. The other embellishment is the addition of the Scout snout greeblie on the top flap that is shown in the costumes book. I am currently working on making the pocket greeblie. It looks like a piece from from the scout armor bicep but it's a bit more intricate than that.

I like the changes you made to your backpack. I might do something similar with mine. _________________ RIAD GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019-present

Thank you Patricia! It was pretty easy to do and it looks a bit closer to the movie version. _________________ Peter Holzemer

Bandolier is completed and I’m happy with the results. One more piece down. Now on to the gaters and thanks to Kman I have a good example to go by. I picked up a Nerf DH17 from EBay to use as my carry blaster and I was wondering if there was any precedent to wearing a holster for it? It would just make it a little easier to holster it when interacting with the public. I know in ROTJ they were mostly carrying A280’s but I want to avoid that due to the tight restrictions we have at a majority of our troops. Just can’t see putting in the $ and effort for something I’ll only be able to carry once or twice a year:) _________________ Peter Holzemer

My understanding is, technically, no holster. None were worn on screen.
That said, I know a number of people who wear them anyway, for practical reasons. Check with your base commander for permission. (and maybe check before you invest in buying / making one, if you don't already have one) _________________
