After much discussion with the judges and legion council, the LMO team has decided to put in place a new policy regarding costumes that appear to be simplified versions of costumes we see in the movie.

The policy is as follows:

Costumes that are simplified versions of already approved costumes may not be eligible for legion approval and should be taken on a case by case basis.

So what does this mean? First, this policy does not affect the status of any costumes that are currently approved or costumes that have written standards. Second, as of now, Forces of Destiny costumes will not be considered approvable costumes for the Rebel Legion. These costumes are simplified and stylized versions of the existing movie costumes. In addition, the dolls for these costumes have more screen accurate details than the cartoon versions which points to the fact that the costumes were simplified for the sake of animation.

This policy mostly affects animated, comic, and game costumes that are simplified and stylized versions of costumes we see in any of the Star Wars films. If the character is unique to the animated, comic or game mediums and is not seen in the movies, this policy has no effect on if the costume will be allowed in the legion.

Also each costume will be assessed on a case by case basis. If you decide to make an animated, comic or game costume that does not have a standard and are uncertain if it will be approved by the legion please reach out to me or any other member of the LMO team for clarification. Feel free to send a PM or send an email to LMO@rebellegion.com.
