Okay so this dress is QUITE the undertaking for me. So I wanted to post a build thread here to get opinions as I go along. I'm going to be taking it one piece at a time and accept that this is probably gonna take me forever lol.

But anyway! I'm starting with the cape!

Here's the materials I'm looking to snag. I plan to start with this curtain from walmart as a base:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-and-Gardens-Vintage-Rose-Sheer-Window-Panel/44938629

And I actually found some four pedal sequins on etsy!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/262065967/new-item-7-g-of-7-mm-4-petals-flower?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=4%20petal%20flower%20sequins&ref=sr_gallery-1-6&show_panel=true

Once I get these materials in I will get to work and post my progress Smile

Looks like a good start. Smile Those petals are perfect and while I can't see a close up of the curtain I believe several other Picnic Padmés have picked up that same fabric to use for the shawl.

Good luck, Alex! It's a stunning costume and I am sure you will do a phenomenal job. Amadalia
