Hello from Freedom Base! Can't wait to see everyone at GenCon this year! (I've been running Pazaak for a few years, so I might have met some of you already.)
Who wants to brainstorm and run Rebel Legion flavored events with me? Of all the cons I go to, GenCon has one of the best systems for inviting attendees to run events/panels in return for free admission.
I'm going to run events for Pazaak (Anyone have KotOR costumes?) and teaching people Aurabesh.
Here are more events that I want to do but probably need more help with...shoutout which ones you're interested in or if you have any other ideas.
- Star Wars RPGs (How can we creatively use our costumes and props and building abilities to make these more interesting and exciting??)
- Star Wars Cards Against Humanity (I know a site for making custom decks and printing on cardstock)
- Make&Take...Something that is (1) approveable (2) AWESOME (3) not messy or difficult (4) Ideally $20 or less
- Dejarik (wouldn't that be epic? But we'd have to make it...)
(I've been talking to Matt, and he's waiting on some coordination from GenCon before he gives the okay to advertise anything as an official Rebel Legion event, but cmon, free badge either way!) _________________

I'd be happy to help out with something. Maybe with the SW CAH? It sounds fun. |

One so far! Awesome! I set up something for us to compile ideas for cards. Let's bring this thread back to life!

(Anyone else like any of the other ideas? Let me know!) _________________

The final deadline crept up on me, so I just went and submitted panels without mentioning any Legions because neither the event coordinator nor the LPRO got back to me about whether that was okay.
So whatever, here's what I'm doing. Let me know if you want to participate in any of these:
Screen Accurate Costuming (Bonus: Imperial Code Cylinder Make & Take)
Create a replica of the iconic "space-pen" carried by officers of the Galactic Empire and learn how to source near-screen-accurate Star Wars costumes and props.
Learn to Read and Write Aurabesh
Discover and practice techniques to gain fluency in the "Star Wars Alphabet." Uncover easter eggs and cringe helpessly at your friends' tattoos that are spelled with a "T", "H" instead of a "TH"
Pazaak
Learn to play the card game that spans galactic history from Darth Revan to Maz Kanata...and reminisce about the best Star Wars story ever! Happy 15th Anniversary, Knights of the Old Republic!!
(I'm wearing Star Forge Revan to the Pazaak panel OBVIOUSLY and probably the Aurabesh panel. I should probably wear Imperial Bridge Crew to the code cylinder make&take, but it would be funny to go as a Rebel Fleet Trooper instead and pretend I stole them all) _________________
