Additional information:

REFERENCES AND IMAGES:

BREAK DOWNS - DESIGNS - DETAILS - REF

Ive got a ton more images but they are not very clear

Clear gap in front collar

Back showing hood

The saber clip ONLY appears on the belt WHILE the saber is attached. It is triangular shaped

Now note in this image where the saber has been removed. No clip! Movie magic!

Construction

Two piece hood, ironed.

Closeup of linen

Tunic front

arm cuff

clip

"Ive failed you Ben... and for that I'm sorry."

"Oh you're sorry!"

"Ill always be with you, just like your father."

How did you get the lines on the trenchcoat? Or was that already on the fabric and if so then what was the material called?

There is currently a fabric at Joannes right now! I about died when i saw it as it seemed so close.

The original fabric itself is ever so slightly sheer and so is this stuff so I snatched it up!

It runs 24.99 a yard so watch out its expensive! I turned the fabric inside out. The other side has a slightly raised lip. The original has no raised edges so use that gross polyester side.

Ive never paid so much for cheap polyester in my life -.-
The original seems to be 100% polyester. It certainly shines like Poly.

My original Jedi was all poly not conducive to the Australian heat.

I love this costume, but I think we should put any standard discussion on hold until we have clearer images of it.
You can't make a standard on blurry images. Neutral Too much guess work.

I live in the desert of California and I wear a Kylo Ren Costume. I understand this pain.

Hi everyone,

I'm very keen on this costume and just noticed that the Star Wars channel features some high quality screen footage of it from the movie in their latest Star Wars explained series:

https://youtu.be/p09c0MXDxto

I could see a lot more detail in this than other shots I've looked at, especially the boots, close ups of the collar and sleeve, his brown glove and the cross over of the tunic. I think Dawn Bright (Kylo Ren) got most of them anyway which I found absolutely amazing but I can see it more in this vid Smile

It starts at 15 minutes 48 seconds in,

Cheers

Ant

Required Items:
FACE:
-The face is worn and aged.

HAIR:
-The hair is a light brown. Style like seen on reference pictures.
-Full beard is darker in color from the head hair and is well trimmed.

INNER TUNIC:
Same style as ROTJ with a closed bib and mandarin collar. Tunic is white and should not be see-through. Linen preferred. Mandarin collar should be fitted with a wide opening in front. The cuff starts mid forearm, (Cuff is fitted and closed with three (3) hidden snaps/press studs or similar, double-length cuff (approximately 10cm/4″ long) speculation.). Collar and cuffs are stitched in small lines.

OUTER TUNIC:
The Outer Tunic is black, folded left over right. Linen preferred. The Tunic has no separate collar. The Tunic does not reach the wearer’s buttocks and crotch area. Front closure claps at the top of the hood and continues to the bottom of the hem. Sleeves end just above the coat sleeves.
The Hood is double lined and ends at the front closure. There is a seam in the middle of the hood. The Hood lasts to the end of the blade bone.

BELT:
Wide brown leather (or leather-like) belt with slim sewn on borders in the same material. It has a large hexagonal buckle with a hammered and weathered look. The buckle should be as big as the belt or a tiny bit larger and follow a 3 high, 5 wide rule in dimensions.

COAT:
The coat is made from a black material and reach to the ankle. On the jacket portion the material is grooved. The sleeves are nearly reaching the wrist at the inside of the arm and are shorter at the outside of the arm. In the lower part the coat is slitted on the back (Trenchcoat-Style)

PANTS:
The pants are wide and black.

BOOTS & WRAPS
Boots are in a brown colour. The boots should be wrapped from ankle and up to mid calf in a material similar in color to the boots. (Wraps are also referred to as puttees). They must have a thick sole in rubber/foam or similar in a color matching the boots. Boots and wraps should closely match the pants.

Optional Items:
- Lightsaber.
The lightsaber is graflex “Anakin” style blue. If blade is not attached it is fixed with a triangular clip on the right side of the wearer. (No toy sabers, no Ultimate FX short saber). The lightsaber may be a static prop (hilt-only).

I dont see the cuff closures in any of the ref. Did you happen to catch them in the shots? I know that they are on the other sleeves of the other costume. But I had not seen them on these. Smile IE: I personally dont mind how it punctually closes. Should that be specified.

Smile

also the pants are speculation, but i think for the begin, there is nothing wrong on a wide black pant. ... my assumption is that it is a classic "Viking" pant.

Regarding this I have to ask: considering that the charter expressively forbids us to judge based on age (except where someone is underage) would this not be against the charter as a requirement?

Quote:

I can understand having it under optional, like we do with contact lenses and most makeup in general. (Only special makeup ever goes under requirements). So it should be moved to optional as far as I'm concerned.

I'm also pretty sure I don't fully agree with the text of this standard mock up, but there are still things I don't have proper references off, so that makes discussion difficult.
But I do know that copying text from another Luke standard won't work for this, because it is very different from the TFA jedi costume.

I think all of the high res images showing every piece of this costume has been posted. What price are you unclear on? I am happy to show clear images of any piece.

Oh, we do have some high res, but not of the whole costume. Kinda lacks good back shots that shows of the trenchcoat.
