I'm actually building mine at the moment. I plan to encapsulate my switches in silicone. I have some spares (not that they are expensive or anything) so I'll test those first.

Silicone would be good. I was thinking of trying hot glue. I found some buttons on Electronics123 that have a rubberized cap to them. I thought about using some magnetic read switched, but they are made of glass, so that wouldn't have been a good idea.

By silicone I mean DragonSkin or possibly Ecoflex, just in case you thought I meant caulking. Same stuff most of use on our masks. Want to keep it nice and flexible so the button is still easy to press.
