Hi folks I am planning on making a X Wing costume of Corran Horn X wing pilot.

After a lot of "issues" when I did my Jedi version on the UK site I have decided to run my WIP this time fully on the US site.

Ok So were am I so far
1.I have two Olive Green army Overalls one as the base one to cut up etc.

2. I have added the black full length Zip.

3.I have changed out the original collar for a new Mandarin collar.

4. I have some White Cordura type fabric and some heavy white Canvas fabric for the flak vest not decided on which yet.

5. I also have 50mm and 25mm Silver grey poly webbing on order.

6. Webbing Buckle and Flak Jacket Fasteners ordered.

7. The Leg flare holder is done and I have finished the flares too.

8. Boots a what we call Rigger Boots ( I have massive feet and cant get Jack boots to fit)

9. Helmet kit ordered.

10. Chest box ordered.

any thoughts pointers will be very well recived please ESPECIALLY any helmet info picture etc etc please......

These are pictures of the white
"canvas" material I have for the flak vest thoughts please will it be ok its a heavy "canvas type"

I also have some white "cordura" in the post to me but I think that may well be to Heavy and stiff

Help thoughts please before I begin to fabricate it.

Hi folks well quick fabric update

The silver grey webbing is for belts and straps.

The white canvas - I will NOT be using as its to Canvas and its pvc backed which the advert did not say.

I will be going with previously posted white fabric - as no comments to the contery I can only assume it is ok ??????

the green fabric swatch while I am fully aware can photo slightly off if from
jaysracewear - who make the orange x-wing suits in the uk so again unless told differently I will go with this.

Looks like you've got a good start. Nice job.

At the moment we don't have any standards for a Corran Horn X-wing pilot costume, so we don't have anything regulating the color of the suit. That said, the few Corran Horn costumes we have (and there aren't very many in the RL), most of them look to use a more olive green suit, if that helps any.

Hi Blue Banshee Leader,
very many thanks for posting I was getting worried lol.
sorry for the late response but I can only use the pc at work.

Re colour of jump suit I have died the ones I have got one to were one to
use for pockets etc

I have used a machine dye by Dylon link below colour Forest Green

http://www.dylon.co.uk/en/home/products/machine-dye/green.html

I thought this might be easier. As for clearance then I will continue as standard X-wing but green will that be ok please ??

Y'know, I was wrong, we do have Corran Horn standards. I totally forgot. Razz

http://newsite.rebellegion.com/corran-horn/

But yeah, the pockets and suit details are the same as the orange X-wing suit. Just the suit would be green.

Hi Alex,
Many thanks for that, I have borrowed a cleared X wing flight suit so I am going to copy the pockets and locations from that one.

I will check out the link too.

Many thanks for the heads up and help.

Sorry I have not posted for a while been busy
But at last I have had time to make take the patterns
for the pockets etc. and get them cut out.

I still need to fold the seams and double stitch the open edges before fitting
to my jump suit and yes I will double stitch them.

Doesn't leave much of the other flight suit sadly, I cut this one up so the fabric matches.....

I think that should be fine with the solid green paint scheme. Smile

However I think I have found a fabric that will work for my Flak Vest

Its a coated nylon mid weight not to shiny, its slightly off white (which I like as its gives a more used appearance)

Any Case imagers below comments / Ok to use please :-)

Top Image Is reverse side or face side depending other two are the opposite face if that makes sense ???
