After several visits to my local fabric stores I have had no luck finding Khaki Trigger for the ribbed panel on my ANH-15 soft cap. Is there a suitable stand in material that I can use? Duck cloth or something of the like?

My first one was hand sewn from an old pair of Dockers.

A friend of mine found an old military dress cap at a Army navy store that seems to be the same material color as the ANH-15. I had also bought some Duck cloth. After taking the front small bill part off the cap I found that the Duck Cloth I had was the same color as the clean un exposed part of the flight cap.

You can use regular cotton twill, or as mentioned, the right pair of men's khaki / tan slacks can be cut up and used as well.
Check second hand & thrift stores for those.
