This year at DragonCon my mom dressed as TFA Leia, and we had a lot of fun as Chewie and Leia. My dad however only had my old Jedi costume, and we all agree that next year he needs TFA Han.

He's bald and this needs a good wig. What are some good resources for decent Solo wigs? We want something good, not the cheap Halloween wig. Advice?

I suggest getting advice from a professional makeup artist that works in the film/television industry. They could refer you to a hairpiece specialist that may have some used but serviceable pieces you could afford.

Wigs are hard and depends on the amount of maintenance and work you want to put in them. I like Arda wigs but they need a lot of work. My Hux wig is that and I think I put 15 hours into that wig making it look "real". I had a professional hairstylist cut it and then I went in and thinned it. But it paid off because when I first started wearing that costume I freaked some of my Garrison mates because they thought I cut and dyed my hair.

I highly recommend a lace front wig if you want the wig to look more realistic especially if the hairline is going to show. This addd more work to putting the wig on because you are going to need wig double stick tape or glue.

Also if you can, look for a wig in the right color so you don't have to dye it. Find something close to the hairstyle because you can always take it to a hairstylist to get it cut and styled.

I hope that helps a little bit.
