Hopefully I'll be accepted EU soon as Niner from Karen Traviss's book Triple Zero.

Here is my pic gallery if you'd like to see what went into it:

Personally, I love this pic, thanks to my Jedi brother Cory:

Thanks for the support. Wink I don't think I'll have to fight too hard to get this costume legitimized by the RL. It's a Polymer Armory kit (which they now make in black ABS, but mine is painted black).

Here are the official references I gave to the Rebel Legion mebership officer:

First reference is the book Star Wars Republic Commando: Triple Zero by Karen Traviss. The Black Stealth Katarn armor requisition is part of the story in the Prologue, 2nd sentence on page one and is used during the raid on "Fest". It is the same as the standard RC armor, just matte black for stealth.

Second reference are the stealth black multiplayer models in the LucasArts game Star Wars: Republic Commando. It is displayed on the StarWars.com site at the top of this page:
http://www.starwars.com/databank/organization/clonecommando/index.html

Also look at artist Greg Knight's page on Star Wars.com for a Black RC on the first page: http://www.starwars.com/gaming/videogames/news/f20050128/index.html

Third reference is the short story and picture that appeared in the Star Wars Insider 87 "Odds". Atin is shown wearing the black katarn armor alongside Arc Trooper Prudii. The picture is at the bottom of this page: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Omega_Squad and in the magazine.

They will also be matte black in the upcoming Karen Traviss novel Star Wars Republic Commando: True Colors (in June). Here's more on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Republic_Commando:_True_Colors

You can discover more about Omega Squad via this page:

I'm proud to say that I've been accepted as a Rebel Trooper RC, Formal/Canon. W00T!

Thanks a ton to Karen Traviss for bringing these bad boys to life!

Omega Squad RCs are now 501st Legion approved as well. A special thanks to the Rebel Legion for blazing the path on this great costume and paving the way for costuming acceptance!

I'll proudly represent both Legions well!

Kev

COS_Vader Kevin,

Congrats on being accepted into the Rebel Legion.

I must admit, seeing a few of the Republic Commandos at C4 (even if a few of them only had the helmets on), I became interested in these characters & costumes.

Don't think I'd ever do one myself but I do find them fascinating. Was even inspired to buy the Republic Commando Delta Squad (the 3 3/4" figures set). I think I'll check out the video game next.

Thanks for being part of the inspiration.

May the Force be with you.

The PA armor guys did a really great job and SW author Karen Traviss even has her own set now. When it's built up, I'll shoot her over this way as well so maybe she'll become a Rebel Legion member too!
