Hello everyone! A current member and myself were discussing the possibilities of getting non-canon characters approved and I figured I'd go right to the source lol.

To an outside observer (such as myself) it would seem that only canon characters are approvable by the Rebel Legion. However, the current member linked me to another RL member who has an approved costume which is an OC Twi'lek smuggler.

So here's the final question:
If I have a Twi'lek that isn't canon, is the only way to get her approved to slap robes on her and frantically waive around a lightsaber?

In addition to Jedi, pretty much any costume that's acceptable as a generic uniform or character would work such as Pilot, Rebel Officer, Rebel Fleet Trooper, Hoth or Endor Commando, etc.

So to be clear: No more smugglers or dancers?

I'm not positive on that though they might still be allowed. Maybe someone with more expertise can chime in.

Root of this conversation was a Twi'lek smuggler I made recently, but would like to upgrade and make changes to. If there's any possibility of getting her approved, I'd make the changes specific to that approval.

She's based off of SWtOR smuggler class reference pictures.

We don't currently have any generic Twi smugglers that are approvable.

Would you consider a costume based on the Twi'lek Smuggler card from the Fantasy Flight Games cardgame?

Dancers are discussed here. http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=81844

And I agree in not having generic dancers since the dancers I've seen don't look very Star-Warzy. Their costumes look more belly-dancer or fetish wear.

I think custom smugglers and dancers are now Outer Rim Collective.
