Has anyone tried to build the Hoth Rebel Tripod mounted, medium repeating blaster as used by the Hoth rebel troopers in the snow trenches?

If so, pics? References? Links? Suggestions? Comments?

I've been examining pictures of the Rebel Medium Repeating Blaster to reverse engineer the design.

I think I just identified the tripod as a WWII German MG42/MG34 Anti-aircraft tripod. They may have been plentiful and cheap in the 1970's, but today they are a bit more rare. However, I did find a supply here: http://www.roba.ee/en/assortiment/index?string=tripod

A lot of the barrel/main body of the blaster looks to be a collection of various diameters of PVC pipe and/or shop vac hard hoses.

Stay tuned as I interpret more from the pictures.

not sure if it is same, but TrooperPX David Ramsay has a Hoth Gun I think he built, on a tripod.

I have wanted to do this for years, but have not found decent enough reference images. Do you have any good ones?
