LOL. In a call center. So long as work gets done and I don't let it interfere with my job functions, I can sew!

Whole lotta pinning and measuring this morning!

So far so good...

WOOHOOO!

I have some adjustments to make in the batting itself, and I will see about adding an extra line on either side at the front of the yoke. Beyond that, I'm happy with this result and think it's ready for the collar!

Thank you! I think I cried a little when I turned it inside out after stitching the collar, I was so happy!

I've been hand stitching the trim and tying up loose threads today. I plan to do some overcast stitching to clean up the wrong side of the collar, then move onto measuring up the armholes, cutting and more stitching!

Then... the last piece, the belt!

Also.. might be hard to tell from the photo... but since I'm using the Kreinik #32 and it's not as heavy as what some have used, I may have to go two rows for it to photograph and show up better.

I'm thinking if anywhere, definitely against where the collar meets the yoke. Thoughts?

It's looking lovely! My feeling on one row or two rows of the cording is that it really needs to look like just one row. If you can disguise the two together to look like just one thicker cord, you'll be fine.

Tis what I thought! Better to get a ruling ahead of time though! Very Happy

Yeah, I'm with Jenna. If you can get it to look like one row then great, otherwise it would probably be better to leave it at one. See if ironing will get it to pop more at the collar-yoke seam?

Let me see what I can work out on the collar/yoke, that braiding is there, just doesn't want to show up well!

Photos submitted however, and I can send more photos once the extra layer of braiding is figured out and sewn!
