I've started putting in orders for a couple of pieces for a Rebel Fleet Trooper that I'll be building. The helmet should be here soon and I'll be ordering some of the soft pieces soon.

I've also been looking at some East German jackboots to purchase and I've seen some comments about them running a bit small. I usually wear shoes in the 9 to 9.5 range. What would be suggested for the jackboots?

I'll be posting more about the build as things get shipped in and I start working on them.

The RFT is my most comfortable costume; it's great!

Where did you order the helmet?

Another option for boots may be black engineering boots, though you'd need to check on the height and remove any straps/buckles attached to them.

Here is what I have, or ordered so far:

-Studio Creations helmet that needs to be put together (hopefully this week)
-2" belt from Tandy Leather
-Belt buckle from Tandy Leather
-Range tan leather dye
-DH-17 holster that hasn't been dyed yet so I can match it to the belt
-Nerf version of the DH-17 blaster waiting to be modified (hopefully this week)
-Xelement engineer boots that I scored for $40 locally in just my size so I'll be cutting off the lower strap

What I have left to purchase includes:

-Gray Rothco BDU pants
-Potentially a Rothco BDU shirt but I may build the vest from scratch to match the images from the auction that gives the accurate pocket layout
-Material to build the shirt from scratch as to try and make the cuffs more accurate as well

Where did you buy the un-dyed holster?
How much and where did you get the Nerf gun? The cheapest I've seen are well over $100 for the standard Nerf gun.
