I haven't seen anyone talk about the variant chestbox and helmets that some of the blue squadron members have. They look pretty cool.

There was discussion about the helmets in the U-Wing pilot thread:

In searching, I couldn't find any other helmet with those "boxes" behind the visor shield (which was cut down for the U-wing). Looks like they built up a "Mohawk" similar to the X-wing bucket, which would account for the grooves you see at the top in this shot:

Also, curious they seem to be using the ANH15 summer flight helmet under the U-wing bucket. The standard SPH-3 helmet lining is built in, OD, and no leather where the snaps are (for respirator mask):

cool, thanks. Smile It's a pretty spiffy bucket. And that chest box is rocking too. I may have to try modeling that one.

I think it was said that those are the U-Wing pilots chestboxes.

I was not very happy with them at all. Sorry I haven't posted in here. I've been working on another costume trying to get it ready for celebration.

They had a pattern to them they just were not in the right consistency. The ones I found that were the right consistency wasn't exactly the right color. So I'm gonna keep looking. I would suggest looking in utility/recreational fabrics at your local fabric stores. I probably won't get to any more research before celebration Get here
