Greetings AB!
I have acquired parts for my very own orange Rebel X-Wing Pilot! WOOO HOOO!!!
I have asked in the past if anyone else would be interested in doing this with me and having an awesome swell in our squadron numbers. (someone has to get those Stormtroopers!)
If you are still interested, this is the place to post! I would like to have a "put your pilot together" get together at some point. Plus, we can have a separate photo shoot and Erik would be happy to take submission pics for you too with his green screen.
See below for the edits and links to threads and info on materials.
* Currently I have all of the parts I need. Most of the base costume is finished, with exception of a few items. I have some fitting to do and get over my fear of the helmet.
Also, don't forget, we are very fortunate to have in our base, one of the Legion Costume Judges for Pilots who is a wealth of knowledge.

Rebel Pilots: here you will find WIP threads, and tons of information for all of the different Rebel Pilots.

Flightsuit Modifications *I got my base flightsuit from this vendor and modified it myself.
X-Wing Pilot Belt Guide You can search ebay for "Roll Pin Belt Buckle" to get that buckle, there are several sellers that carry it, make sure it matches the CRL.
Chestbox and Commpad Reference Not up to making them yourself? ... Commpads ...Chest Box-I got mine through droidwelder
X-Wing Vest Not feeling up to making it yourself? ...Claudio at custom-props (ebay) makes good ones. Thats where I got mine
More to come... _________________ Alpha Base - XO 2011-2012, CO 2012-2015

So awesome. Glad you are making this costume. More pilots the better. |

While it's legion policy that you can't judge submissions from your own base, there's no rule against "sage advice and counsel..." while you are getting everything together
If we can pick a time and place, I'll be glad to bring everything I have and brief everyone on exactly what the judges will be looking for. _________________

I have begun getting the parts for my xwing pilot. So I would be interested in grouping up as possible. |

OMG!! I am sorry I missed this post!!
Yay for getting your parts together!! I got my orange coveralls from http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/ and modded them myself. I am sure there are other vendors out there, but I'm not familiar. _________________ Alpha Base - XO 2011-2012, CO 2012-2015

I know we have been discussing this topic for a while, but I am going to start to morph this thread, and others like it will follow. In the original post, I'm going to attach links to where you can find things like build tutorials and places where others have found parts (at least what I can find). Hopefully by reformatting, this will help you find the information you are looking for (pun intended) faster and make it easier.
This is a work in progress, and won't all be done at once, but since this costume has a dedicated thread already, I thought I'd start here.
Thanks! _________________ Alpha Base - XO 2011-2012, CO 2012-2015
