My first purchase arrived last week in the form of my belt buckle. The sale included a khaki sand belt, but if I have to match the 1" loops for the mini-flares, I may was well replace the whole belt with strapworks.

My car is done in x-wing style replete with functioning droid in back and I'm an R2 Builder working on a full-scale droid, so my focus is on those Techs seen around the ships, helping pilots and loading droids. None of those guys wears a helmet though the the helmet is currently CRL.

In the spirit of the CRL, I just bought TK560's helmet option. However, in the spirit of my droid and car, I don't think I'll be submitting with it as there are three distinct sub-groups of Tech on film. I am hopeful that future CRL changes will more clearly reflect the distinctions.

With these two purchases, that leaves dowels for the mini flares of which I have extras from my X-Pilot on hand. That leaves the material for the suit itself which my wife will pattern off my orange suit. My Pilot boots are the same as the Tech and I can swap code cylinders. Techs are not seen with the comm pad.

This could not be a cheaper or more appropriate costume for me to do. Even so, sans helmet, the Yavin Tech must financially be the easiest costume to get into across the entire legion. Grease-monkey special, here I come.

from R1 we have slight differences in the yavin tech. The boots are now a low topped boot and are bloused, and the commpad will be differnt.

The whole thing is dirty. Guess its time to take mine to work and get it dirty!
