WIP Jedi Temple Guard (Star Wars Rebels)

I will try to post my WIP of the Jedi Temple Guard from Star Wars Rebels here. I've searched (a litlle) but didn't find anyone working on this yet, or is there.

In case you are not familiar with this version, it is very different from the Clone Wars guard. Less layers and no hood. It's very sleek and "simple".

I ordered the masks at CalistonArmory, it's the same mask as was used by the "blind kanan" cosplayer at CE3 in London.



oh yes... I'm builing two identical costumes for myself and my partner


perhaps the version Kanan puts on when he loses his sight is different from the actual guard version. There are some difference which I fixed


the mask doesn't cover the entire back of the head and the eye slits are more squared. I fixed both



Covered out and inside with resin before starting to sand them smooth

working on cardboard templates for the hard armor parts. I will try to eventually make them out of forrex








the back part of the mask is a soft part as can be seen in this video

thinking I can have that made with neopreen. it's a thinker material and stretchy

Covered the masks in resin and spayed them with plaster (finally covering the pink)
Need to fill a fow spots with some more plaster before sanding them


Also received my Ultrasabers today. Went for the most simple looking hilt in silver and gold and ofcourse yellow blades


and they can be made into one dual blade


I have taken a week off from work next week to spend all time to work on the hard armor parts. expect more pics soon

armor parts:


gloves


testing the armor and mask "balaclava"


leather for the belt and neoprene for the back en of the mask



fabric for the pants and tunic (though colors in picture don't match reality) I'll be adding the white pinstripe by hand



What do you guys think about that black line on the collar and around the zipper of the pants. Is that just an indication that there is a seam there (as our CO seems to thing) or is it an actual dark line which needs to be made into the costume, with either a black line (painting the fabric) or with so called piping added?

The black line on the pants can probably be done by using black thread, but it does look strange how much it stands out.
On the collar I'd say black piping cord.
