I'm in the process of making a Jedi Healer outfit. Wondering if anyone else out there has done something along these lines. I have a mental picture of how I want things to look, but would love to see others work.

My custom Jedi is a healer. I still have to submit to the RL but here is the pic:
and without the robe:

I know there are a few others here who have made healer attire, they have some images in the power of the Jedi sourcebook. Usually somehow blue is used in the costume or Padawan Braid

I can't see the images. Do I need an account at MySpace?

Edit: Thanks for fixing it. I like the costume! A little bit unusual and cool.

Yes, blue is what is usually done. The source is one line in The Evil Experiment, Jedi Apprentice #12, page 12: "The Jedi Healer, Wanna Di Yuni, came toward them, dressed in the light blue tunic of a medic"

I've been intending to make Jedi Healer garb as an alternate. If you haven't already bought the fabric, how 'bout we buy the same stuff so we'd match, given that we're in the same base. I've been imagining a sort of dusty light blue, nothing too bright, given that Jedi wear muted tones.

I'm really partial to linen or silk for Jedi garb. Linen is on sale now at Joann. I was there today but I wasn't looking for this project.

0020-315 here http://www.thaisilks.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_21&products_id=1&page=2 is a little too bright but maybe with a tea dye or something??

I'm going for a more "battlefield" medic/healer look, as opposed to one who might work in the Jedi Medical Corp back on Coruscant. Definetly less "traditional" jedi, and much more practical (no tabbard, double belt, long sleeves or excess of pouches). A much more practical garb for field work.

Kate, what did you have in mind for your costume?

If you're thinking battlefield, then check out the cover art on the 2 book Jedi healer series with Barriss.

I was thinking traditional Jedi tunic, tabbard, obi but in blue:

princessleia911, that's really different but it still says, "jedi". Nice creatiion.

Kate, a concept piece I did several months ago looks almost exactly like that! I still really like that style, the traditional but with blue, but my mind started working in another direction. I'll try to get some pic up of either concept art, or a picture of what I have so far. The tunic is mostly done at this point, as is the med kit bag.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. I have an outer tunic, tabbards and obi but no inner tunic. The pants are like a hakama, which is very voluminous but still pants. The blue robe I thought was very Jedi healer. Alurian, I am curious about the med kit. Could you post pics of that ASAP? Where did you find ref pics for it?

Becca, great costume! Very Happy

~ Koda

p.s. The only reason that second picture is so dark is cuz I accidentally had my finger covering the light sensor, and the flash didn't go off Confused

I actually don't have any reference pics of the med kit. It just seemed like a practical thing to have to hold bacta patches, lotion, and bandages. Basic supplies that would be needed to stabalize a pt during transport or while Force healing was taking place. If they are bleeding from superficial wounds while you are trying to Force knit a blood vessel on your way back to the Rimsoo, a pressure dressing would come in handy. Ehh, I'm a nurse I think in practical ways, lol.

I am a RN too, Alurian. I am just working on a medic kit and I wanted to make it look "just right" and accurate as possible.

Koda, I am indebted to you for those awesome pics Leia Buns

And thanks for your kind comments as well, JediXXL

That is really pretty. I love the design. Different, but definitely Jedi.

Blue for healers, huh? Is that why Barriss has the blue cloak then?
