Hi so I'm working on a Scavenger Rey, my first RL costume, and I'm almost finished but I'm having issues with the arm wraps. I've tried fabric gluing the fabric to panty hose but that just comes apart every time I slip it on or off and I've tried gluing the fabric to elastic wrap but that just unravels.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! This is my first time making anything like this. Very Happy

Hi there, I guess I'm going to unravel it each time but fix with velcro. I wonder if there's a way of stitching it?

i'm using self adhesive bandages (got them at walgreens) that i coffee dyed. they stay on pretty well. you can also make a sort of sleeve out of the cloth and then use interfacing to stabilize it. fabric stores sell interfacing and it comes in a variety of stiffness

you can also make a lycra casing and then handstitch the wrap to it. goes on the arm like a long glove. Just be sure to pin the wraps when it (the casing) is on you as the lycra will shrink when you take it off. The wrap part will look weird when it is not on but will look fine when it stretches back out when you put it on
