This is copy and pasted from a thread on therpf. I thought I posted this here on the rebel legion forums as well, but after doing a search, I found that I hadn't.
This post is a few years old, but I thought it might be a good reference for anyone else who is looking to do this costume. I have since sold the version seen in the pictures and will be making a more screen accurate version very soon.
Any questions, please feel free to ask!
I'm nearly finished putting this costume together and I figured I would post some pictures and see what you all think. I'm still in the process of dirtying this up to give it that "used-universe" look. These were taken just after sewing was complete. After weathering all that is left to do is to convert my Graflex replica into a lightsaber and build my Blast Shield Helmet.
Since these pictures were taken I've finished the belt and droid caller which I made from an actual Kobold Flash. I'll update this when it's complete, and also include some pictures of me wearing it to SDCC 2011.

I spent the day making my new Luke ANH Pants. I will post pictures when I can but be warned, this will be pic heavy!
The one area I will be deviating from Screen Accurate with them is by adding integrated suspenders to negate the need for a second pants belt. Other than that they look exactly like the real thing and will only look more accurate when weathered.
I have my Tunic pieces cut out and my belt blank cut out.
But for now, off to bed! I'm whooped. _________________ Follow your Bliss -Joseph Campbell |
