Hi All. I'm looking to create my first (of many I suspect) lightsaber, hoping to combine my love of Star Wars with my love of tinkering and soldering. Unfortunately I live in the UK where specialist supplies are somewhat harder to come by. Can anyone recommend either a decent UK based parts supplier, or more likely an American site which will ship to the UK in a timely manner. If there are any UK based guys reading this who could give me a rough estimate of the import tax it would also be hugely appreciated, thanks.

JQ Sabers is a reseller of The Custom Saber Shop. TCSS has great forums too.

UK is a paradise because of JQ Wink Bought some electronics from them and they are very helpful with questions . Also if you don't mind to import from US then try the main source TCSS as mentioned. Then from France you can order things from Plecter Labs if you want to have some good sounds in your saber. Can recommend the stuff from there and as long as UK is still in the EU you don't need to worry about import tax. PL is very famous in the scene for his high-end soundboards. Nanobiscotte is a cool thing, extremely small and versatile but the Petit Crouton is also a fav of many high-end builders.

Indeed the UK is pretty great. JQ are highly recommended. Also try KR Sabers via Facebook.
